because bahama doesn't believe me Ill let some other portuguese speaking fecker translate the relevant portion. ;)
Not sure where you're coming from here. I saw all the interviews. He says about memories and all that. Some media attributed that to mean he told Ronaldo to leave. I didn't go along with that. never did.

Now, where's this report that SAcolari said "I never told Ronaldo to leave United"

Jason for all the comments you have made ive never once heard anything insiteful or even interesting, everything said is sarcasm or negative comments to make people look bad. Its predictable

The link is a later interview that includes Scolari rubbishing the idea he told Ronaldo to move earlier.

You really have no idea have you (look up 'FA' on google. No, that only gives football for the first thirty pages. Look up 'fat admirer') Misha is just another skinny, faggot-bait beanpole.)

Quoting myself here, but here's from an FA link;

1. fat admirer 46 up, 9 down

Someone (usually a straight man) who is genuinely attracted to people who are (at very least) fleshier than the ideal. Usually abbreviated as FA. See also: chubby-chaser, chubby chaser, FFA.
Ron came to the conclusion that he was a fat admirer when he finally accepted that he found Kelly Osbourne far more attractive than Mischa Barton.

Leave out the pics lads, with all the muppetry going on in this thread, we must not forget this is the United forum, and not the general.

It shouldn't be in the bloody United Forum in the first place, the fact that it has been allowed to remain here is as big a joke as the thread itself and many of the posters within it! So you know who's to blame.

Why people get their knickers in a twist over a football player, his situation, and the media's views about both I'll never know. Leave it be and wait until after the Euros, because feck all is going to happen until then.

No you didnt understand Ronaldo was the one that talked about Portugal and the euros.

Ahhh, I see. I apologize for the mistake.

Thanks for translating that piece. This way we have two who have heard scolari say that he did not advise ronaldo to go to RM.

And, not to believe everything you read despite being in the most credible of papers.

You're easily taken in. For someone who is so adamant on seeing things in black and white.

Well, we've had two different posters' translations - perhaps Jase can ask Julissa to do one as well. I admit I'm also inclined to believe it because I couldn't see Scolari advocating a move prior to the competition - it would be illogical.

It's the close season Weaste.

Let people release some energy.

No chance FIFA would back us on anything. If we weren't an English club on the other hand...

I agree. That's why I never believed it in the first place. But I haven't seen anything in black and white where Scolari says he "didn't mean that".
That's all. We are going by black and white evidence here aren't we? Wasn't that your main arguement?

Nope - direct quotes - still need translating for those of us who are not multi-lingual though. It then comes down to the trust you have in the translator - including what sort of agenda they might have.

The point about the original Scolari remarks was that you could work out what they did mean - and they did not relate to the move - you could do this by working out the likely contexts.

the thing youre talking about was that a spanish guy asked Scolari in the press conference if he didnt think that it was wrong and disrespectfull to Ferguson and United advising Ronaldo to go to Real specially considering that Ronaldo has 4 years left in his contract with United.
and Scolari said to the reporter"youre the one saying that i advised Ronaldo to go to real not me,have you ever heard me saying that?you just talking nonsense.

Is there a script of the press conferees out yet?

Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson has urged Cristiano Ronaldo not to leave Old Trafford in search of a pot of gold...

Brazilian website Terra reported on Thursday that in-form winger Ronaldo was amenable to a move to Real Madrid so long as the Spanish club paid both him and the English club what they were due.

For Robson, this is flawed logic, as despite the promise of a record-breaking paycheque in Spain he is nonetheless fine where he is.

Recounting his own experiences, the ex-England skipper told The Times, "Juventus and Sampdoria offered me a lot more money but I was happy at United.

"Once they told me they wanted me to stay, that was all I needed to hear. If he weighs everything up, then why move if he is happy where is is? Money is not everything.

"I cannot see much of a temptation to go to Real. He is playing fantastic football and is admired by all the fans, players and coaching staff. "

Not All That

Indeed, Robson even hinted that it might be a step down if the Portuguese ace was to trade Lancashire for Castille.

"He is on a massive contract, so I do not see any reason to move to Real," he shrugged.

"How did they do in the Champions League last year?

"He has everything he wants at United. They are a young team and could go on to be successful for years. So I do not see why he should leave."
