ALL Ronaldo's future/comments/speculation

Not at all. I never believed that "quote". And many others didn't either.
Further, I see nowhere where he said he "didn't advise Ronnie to move."
You base your :D and your  on a report that hasn't appeared anywhere.
Not surprised though.

I think you may be confusing 2 quotes:

One was a couple of remarks about 'taking your opportunities - they may only come once' - that was a genuine quote from a press conference.

The other was a spoof about Ronaldo definitely leaving us due to problems at OT 'attributed' to Scolari.

My recent remarks refer to the former - they were based on my earlier analysis of those remarks in context - which appear to have been confirmed in recent broadcasts by Scolari.

I reckon Ronaldo will end up like Ronaldinho in a couple years if he moves to Madrid so soon.

People often forget he is only 23 years old. He still has at least 13 years in him before he retires. I wish he would stop being so eager, and stay at United until he's 25/26, then move to Madrid, live your dream, blah blah... and spend the rest of your career there.

Totally agree, he will still be a world class talent with Madrid but I think some of that talent will get lost in the ongoing merry go round of managers that occurs in Madrid.

I'm officially not bothered about this story anymore.

Euros start tomorrow. Can't wait. Some proper football, none of this chinese whispers shit.

Rio Ferdinand has urged Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Manchester United after the winger expressed a wish to play for Real Madrid.

Ronaldo is the Spanish champions' top summer transfer target, but Real's pursuit of the Portugal international has angered United.

The Premier League giants have threatened to report Real to Fifa following the public nature of the Spanish club's interest.

But, on Thursday, Ronaldo revealed that he is keen to join Real, providing president Ramon Calderon is willing to meet United's demands.

United are sticking to their stance that the 23-year-old is not for sale and stand-in captain Ferdinand also hopes his team-mate stays at Old Trafford.

Want to build

Following last season's triumphs in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, Ferdinand feels it is vital that the Red Devils squad remains intact.

"This team can get better, but we need it to stay together," Ferdinand told The Sun.

"We have worked hard to get to the position we are in and want to build on the success we have had.

"That means keeping all the players at the club."

You act like you're the only one who didn't believe the two reports together. The first one was the genuine one. Nowhere did Scolari say he had advised Ronaldo to go. What's the big deal.
The funny ting is your :D and  over some poster's assertion that he heard Scolari say "I never told Ronaldo to go" That's nowhere to be seen anywhere....nowhere. Not one report showing he said that. Not even a made up report!
Think you went a bit overboard there Feeding.

Ronaldo to retire after Euro 2008
6 June 2008
by Bookie Boon

Ronaldo has called it quit after reading how United fans attacked him base on what they read in the media.

"I have enough! I retire! Okay?", was his response.

When asked about his plan after retirement, the current Player of the Year said," I have not decide, anything can happen in the future, maybe I will know after Euro 2008?".

Douglas, Ronaldo's god-brother shared his opinion," He is under a lot of stress lately, the media had used what he said in various ways to create readership because there is nothing much to tell. Right now, he just want to concentrate on playing football for his country.".

Ronaldo is said to be very hurt by what he read too, and SOURCES said that he might take up tennis instead, so that United fans in the world can continue watching him play.

stop sticking your head in the sand. I already said twice I saw Scolaris comments regarding that with my own eyes and ears. stop being a muppet.

United have consistently been one of the better teams in Europe for many years; however, I’ve got to admit that this rumour is probably bull. Kaka doesn’t look like the type of player to come out and say that he’d favour a move to United; especially completely out of the blue like this, and without any apparent cause. I’d love for the rumour to be true, but it’s not likely: Milan are a good team (relatively speaking), and Kaka seems a loyal enough guy.

Weaste is just suggesting it should be in the transfer forum.

This is the Great Ronaldo saga. It's not about transfers. It's about United and who we are. Are you saying it should be relegated to the status of the "Don't shave your arse hairs" thread in some sub-forum. With getting on to 300,000 views I would humbly suggest that you leave it the feck alone.

well in that interview he basically only talked about Portugal and the euros,he didnt said nothing about his future.the only thing he told about United is that he has learned alot there.

what I saw was a press conference with scolari in RTP's Telejornal.

The two reports were very separate tbh.

One (the first) featured several times in different posts and had indirect remarks that were interpreted in misleading ways by the author/editor. I suggested that the meanings of those remarks were very different from the 'spin'. This did not stop many posters believing that Scolari was advocating a move with these remarks.

The other (later) one had direct remarks about the move attributed to Scolari and this would have been worrying - but it was a spoof. I was much more worried about this until the spoof was confirmed as that.

I will wait until we get actual footage/text of Scolari's recent remarks before being completely happy, but these recent posts from native-language speakers about Scolari rubbishing the idea he'd advocated a move in interviews does confirm my earlier analysis - and deserves celebrating as some corroboratory evidence until even better comes along.

British actress Misha Barton has hit out at Madrid fans and the city they hold so dear.

"I went there once and it stank of shit," she told journalists gathered at a Los Angeles premier.

The shocking revelation is bound to make the Portuguese winger rethink his plans.

"I grew up dreaming of playing in the white shirt of Madrid," Ronaldo remarked upon hearing the news of Misha's comments. "But never once in my dream did the place smell bad. I always assumed it would smell nice."
