This still going on eh?
Ok so who else is travelling to Rome without a ticket now that the UK sources appear to be more or less gone . What are our chances in Rome and what can we expect to pay
Myself and my mate are doing the same. No idea at this stage. im heading to the airport an hour earlier as Ive often seen tickets change hands there aswell. Not too sure how high I'll go, depends on finances. Agreed to meet some Italian in the airport, 2 cat 2's for 1500. A shaky back up plan if I ever heard one. Anyone else hear those rumours about barca returning tickets? 7000 apprently. I doubt it personally.
You always get tickets lads.
Don't panic buy, and most importantly make sure they are not fakes.
300/400 Euros maximum in neutral sections.
thats my worry, the fakes. how can you tell the difference. 3 to 4 hundred sounds reasonable
They will be tough to fake, they are swipe cards within booklets.
Even the neutral tickets?
They will be tough to fake, they are swipe cards within booklets.
can ye post a picture of what they look like?
Look on the first page of this thread for a pic.
They are cards with a gold chip on. The card is in a clear plastic wallet which is attached to a booklet with info in and has a pullout map on the back page.
They would be near impossible to fake.
Though to be sure, dont buy one without the booklet.
I dont know if this is a concern, but you may have to be careful as the ticket may be been lost /stolen, then reissued by UEFA. Loads of people are doing this now with concert tickets. I know United are not reissuing so it may be best to buy from the United allocation.
Take a seating plan with you so you know where the seats will by.
Also, try not to get bummed!!!
No reissues.
From UEFA or united?
I didnt sleep all night thinking that when i do this 200 mile trip north later to the Ticket office that they will turn around and say 'sorry, its too late to fill in that uefa form that you missed out online last weekend' or 'you dont have a ticket anymore, it was on a first come first serve'!
Why am i tormenting myself. Im sure at 6pm when i have the ticket in my hand i will be buzzing and can finally relax.
Yes yes you will, give me a call if you've got time on your hands mate.
I'm bricking it at the moment, the postie hasn't arrived with my passport!
Jeeese, you had me there. I just checked my passport to see when it expires. Panic over.
My train to manchester gets in at 5pm. So im hoping to get my ticket from the ticket office and be back in the centre just after 6ish. Train back to London is at 9:15pm. Fancy a few beers in town if you have time manxy? A pre rome celebration drink
I'm gettin into Milan on tuesday and driving down to rome with a mate. believe the train is a bit pricey. so if anyone is goin thru Milan and wants a lift I've got a back seat in a ford focus free
I know the tickets issued thru the club have this chip thing and they are saying you need id. that actually looks like it will be enforced as they tried it at the recent italian cup final and fans were turned away. police were delighted with the success. but do neutral tickets and the ones that went on general sale also have this info in the chip. surely not everyone who is going in the neutral sections media etc has their own info stored on the chip. or are these ordinary tickets?
I'd of took that, but got my train now, £150 return.
pity. sorry I didn't post it sooner
This 24 hour alcohol ban that I am hearing about....how come there is a Heineken tent at the Champions Festival thing at the Colosseum??

Hows that going to tie in with the ban? Come to think of it, cant imagine one of the major sponsors of the competiton are going to be too chuffed that their product is seemingly banned!!
UEFA always have a beer inside football grounds, which would piss me off as the official beer supplier.
However, with regard to the alcohol ban, my sources (*taps nose*) now tellme that the ban will just be on drinking in the streets. So fingers' crossed.

That source who I think it is?
Maybe. Depends who you think it is!
theres a good few websites online guaranteeing tickets and delivery either in rome or pick up outside the stadium. does anyone know which if any of these websites can be trusted. at this point I think I will just pay whatever I need to to be in the ground.
