All Roads Lead to Rome - ALL TRAVEL/TICKET INFO FOR FINAL HERE

theres a good few websites online guaranteeing tickets and delivery either in rome or pick up outside the stadium. does anyone know which if any of these websites can be trusted. at this point I think I will just pay whatever I need to to be in the ground.

No, wait to get there and see the ticket in life.

yeah I know thats the sensible thing and thanks to you an Ralphie for the voices of reason. I'm just in from a few pints and just wanted the peace of mind of having a ticket. getting desperate. alcohol and big decisions. not a good mix

I'd advise people to bring a drivers license or something similiar. hotels in rome will probable insist on holding your passport for the duration of your stay so you probably wont be carrying that around

That's pretty normal, or should I say for them to photocopy it as proof of ID, just ask for it back in the morning..! Why would you want to walk around a foreign city with your passport...? Shove it in the safe and as you say take some ID, passports are worth a bomb on the black market and with pick pockets around, and hopefully some booze the chance of loosing it is high....;)

Looks like there will 216 very good fakes floating around in Rome..

Missing tickets - resolved

Manchester United and UEFA have today resolved an issue that threatened to prevent more than 200 supporters from attending the Champions League final.

Two hundred and sixteen (216) tickets for the showpiece match between United and Barcelona went missing after they were collected by Royal Mail from the Ticket Office at Old Trafford on Tuesday 19 May.

The chips on the missing tickets have now been cancelled; therefore, anybody who tries to use one of these tickets at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome will not gain access. Any supporter who is offered a ticket for the final from an unofficial source is advised not to purchase it.

As for the supporters whose tickets went missing, they will now be issued with a replacement. UEFA has a policy of not issuing replacement or duplicate tickets, but following talks with United today, the governing body of European football has agreed to make a special exception for the 216 fans affected.

The Ticket Office staff at Old Trafford will contact those 216 fans in due course with details of how and where their Champions League final tickets can be collected in Rome.
