All-Ireland Championships '09

Of course you are my Doire mucker, you dont need my permission - just a bitta banter between me & the Baz fella. He slags me & retaliate - its the way it is :D

They lost btw  +

Need something to laugh at,only got back from Manchester today via Liverpool, nothing but sarcastic comments.I am going to give them twats some stick at the end of this season when we win the lot.Fancy Derry to put out a weakened side against Tyrone,Cassidy does not want them qualifying for the play off stages of the national league, wants to keep his cards close to his chest.Dont be telling Harte I told you that now

Yous boys still no further forward with the stand up in Celtic Park?
Looks Like it'll be a great job when finished. Who's funding it Gregory Campbell

Now now hope that Geoffery bit isnt sarcastic,if I had my way I would put a bulldozer through Celtic Park.It is a handier place for most of your boys and the Donegal men than South Derry where the majority of Gaelic support is.I have had several debates on this issue but the county board like most are aloof and seem for some reason that will not bow to the majority and are determinded to plough more silly money into it.As you can guess I hate the place, even prefer my old home town of Omagh

The fact still remains - If Westmeath were in Connaught we would have a few All-Irelands in the Bag already. Both in Football and Hurling

Poor fecker - that must have been fecking annoying. Anyway welcome home mucker :D

I dont think Cassidy would do that tbh man, if he did & you's lost then you's lot would be rippin - i certainly wouldnt against our biggest provincial rivals, its tribalism & its finest

Should be some game & the best of luck

Thats some statement, but yeah i know what you mean. Been up at Celtic Park a few times with my sisters ex (God rest his soul) & its rough as feck. If memory serves its up around the Brandywell area. Was up there many years ago watching either Doire versus Dublin or Armagh - fecking riots there was. No offence to the Doire football failthful, but there were some amount of scumbags up around there - like alot of urban areas of cities, we legged it 5 mins before the end. Other times, there were just scumbags acting like scumbags & its very ugly!

The heartbed of Doire footaball is South Doire: Ballinderry, Swatragh, Magherafelt, Lavey, Ballymaguigan etc.. very partizan but great football country & people

You are right Celtic Pk is a dump.Magheafelt used to be where Derry games were played and have often thought that is where they should be played,be handy for me as well,20 min or so away. What happened your sisters ex by the way?

1. Down
2. Armagh
3. Derry
4. Tyrone
5. Louth
6. Antrim
7. Monaghan
8. Fermanagh
9. Cavan

O'Donovan Rossa is Magherafelts club if memory serves, used to play ball with Eamonn Coleman's sons at school - great lads & also a great man was Eamonn!

Sister's ex died in a car accident about 3.5 years ago, they had a kid but they'd broken up a good time before that. He was a bit messed up but seemed to have sorted himself out as he married & had kids. I think he was drink driving though, so thats where my doubts creep in regarding his state of mind!

The ironic thing was, they found my Da dead in his house about 5 days after Sis's ex was killed in the car accident but they reckon he'd been dead for 5 days, so they pretty much died the same day. My Mum & Da separated 23 years ago & she ended up gettin a divorce many years later, so i'd no contact with him nor did i want any. Sisters ex had all the hallmarks of becoming the type of man my Da was, so thats why that relationship ended!

Still freaky that both died on the same day, trying to make sense of that doesnt work

Hear hear. it's crass stupidity having our main GAA ground in North Derry.

ps; Monaghan bt Armagh in D2 & are 2pts ahead in the lge ........ not to mention Louth!.... or to mention Tir Connail;)!....... interested to know how same calculated!

Well Red Hand I suppose the United result was the worst result of the weekend for you,I would swapped a Derry hammering in the national league for a 1-0 win at Fulham. These Liverpool wankers have my frigging head turned they really are a blight on society

Alright CL, yeah feck the Tyrone game, couldnt give a monkeys by comparison mate. What a shit day i had on Sat - apart from the Rugby, feckin depressed about the United game, reminded me of the bad old days of being down as feck if we lost. I think its because Liverpool being closest to us thats bringing on this worry - we cant feck this up & let those cnuts win the league :(

Fergie needs to sort this mess out & it is a mess. If we dont beat Villa then they have the momentum & we all know what that brings - confidence & drive. If we lose then heads are gonna be down & we could blow the fecking thing!

Yer bang on with the scouse having heads turned, its not even them its every ABU coming out of the feckin woodwork - like an ol' skool reunion, reforming just to take enjoyment in our blip & i hope its only a minor blip & that'll be it & onwards to victory & glory

Could be an interesting game on Saturday, Cl and RHD!

Yeah it'll be interesting alright PJ, but to be honest man i'm more concerned about United at this point, if it was the Championship then i'd be different!

This last while has really been a kick in the teeth & although i love my County - United's current run is worrying to say the least

I'd happily take just an 8pts win over Doire at this point ;)

The United thing is depressing and those Liverpool wankers are doing my head in but any win over Villa I feel will go along way to steading our ship. The national league campaign is over for Derry we are safe and Cassidy is applying the brakes hopes to use the remaining games to do a bit of experimenting,so you might squeak a wee win on Saturday. So uninterested am I that I am not even going.

No I put Louth in as I am planning on selling it to the Brits for £9 billion and I am making Donegal an Island nation. Sure whoever goes there

To quote aline from the 90's Donegal based celtic pop/rock band, "Goats d'ont Shave"........

"and if I could, I'd build a wall around auld Donegal,
we'd have our own Las Vegas in the Hills of donegal"!

Good man the Baz!

Those shower are doin everyone's head in man, so feck them. If United beat Villa that'll definitely steady the ship alright, here's hoping anyway :nervous:

Not bothered at all by this upcoming game against Doire, both teams will be blooding more players. Tyrone have done this all campaign, just like last year, so although we've had a disappointing League campaign i'm not too troubled tbh - the Anglo Celt is where its at & then gun for Sam!

I'll be watching the Ireland game anyway on Saturday, there's a helluva lot more at stake than the Tyrone - Doire match thats for sure. If we win then we'll be cruising for the battle with Italy for top spot!

Just pointing out Baz has practically the same idea as that fab "goats d'ont shave" song & the line "we'll build a wall around Donegal"... while Baz want's to make "Donegal an Island nation"!

Get ya

The Goats used to play quite alot in Tyrone & were very popular. They're a pretty cool band, made up at the time - of students, just having a laugh & trying to earn some extra dosh!

Hills of Donegal is a classic :D

Wrong Again - Mullingar is our Provincial Town. A Provencial Town is where the County Council Offices are

Thanks for the education. As for being wrong again - i wasnt wrong in the first place, every County has a Capital / figuretown, our's is Omagh - may not be a City but thats irrelevant, you're being very petty - chillout dude & untwist your knickers!

Congrats red hand, your boys did make heavy weather though considering we were looking like we didnt care whether we won or not as predicted by goodself earlier.Anyhow as that is both us more or less finished with the league we can move on to winning the big prize.Let you know my predictions in due course

Suppose it was a good win for the T'rone men, but come on CL, you can't say the Derry men wouldn't care about relegating the old enemy! Nice to see the loup man pulling a penalty save out of the bag too!

Bit like poker PJ we dont want to show our hand too early and actually rested players for this match.I dont mind losing to Tyrone in the national league this year because Tyrone and the rest of Ulster wont know what hits them this summer.I am strangely very very confident of silverware this summer

Thanks very much man, was a good win but also a hard fought one. Doire look very good & i'm delighted we havent to plays ya's in the Championship. Best of luck with that aswell
