I have no idea, but I understand the appeal of Manchester United. I'd put Barca as favourites due to the South American thing but seriously, I don't think he'd be retarded to join the world's biggest football club no.

I think it's more so your 'retarded' comments than the fact that he'd choose Barca over us.

He likely would choose them, but it's hardly nailed on. He knows he'd get more game time here. There's no way he'll dislodge the Pedro-Messi-Villa combo for a few years at least, where as he'd probably go straight into our first team.

Nothing is ever nailed on in football. There are plenty of reasons players would choose the PL over La Liga, regardless of how good Barca are.

Perhaps a little strong, yeah.

But lets face it, there way ahead in terms of football, they've proved that. They'll pay more money, the player will pay less tax, the climate is fantasic - South Americans love that shit. And Barcelona itself is a fantastic place.

Nobody is denying how great Man United is.

Barcelona are the most attractive club right now, for most players. They spanked us in the CL final only a few weeks ago and are widely recognised as the best and most fashionable team in the world right now. They also have very good weather...

This is essentially all he was saying, and you know it, he just phrased it badly.

Sick of this Barca inferiority complex. Its a challenge. Good job Fergie did not have your attitude when looking at the task of catching Liverpool.

He could quite easily fancy the Prem champions and european finalists over the only team better than us. He might prefer our style, he might want to take on Messi not play with him.

He won't get to play down the middle in Barca that's for sure, so if he likes that position he has good reason to choose us.

All the things you mentioned are fair points Mockney, but yeah, in the same way you get worked up over all things England I get pretty disgusted with any "fellow supporter" who could think choosing our club over Barcelona would be retarded. He's just made a better post above which I completely agree with.
