Does anyone think we'd abandon the Young deal if we somehow got Sanchez? There's been no news of it since the Sanchez rumors and talk have been coming out.

I don't think we're after Sanchez and the reason there's been no mention of Young is because there's nothing to mention. We're waiting for him to come back of his hols to have a medical.

I wouldn't be surprised if its between us and City. If Barcelona want to sign anybody other then Sanchez, they need to sell somebody. No chance of getting Fabregas if they do. Then in comes Fergie with a 30 million pound bid for him! Mwuahhaah flawless I tell you! Flawless!

"The offers have all come from these clubs. We don't want to create a bidding war"

Surrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre you don't

Cheers for that info. It seems some here are privy to the information that we don't know.

Barca appear to have come in for Sanchez since Fabregas stated that he's happy to stay at Arsenal.

I dont really why we would be in for Sanchez if we had Young sorted. Dont get me wrong, I would prefer Sanchez but it does seem a bit strange.

The Young deal is done. He's on holiday & that's the only reason nothing has been mentioned since. Will be confirmed on his return.

Are we to assume then that everytime Barcelona bid for a player, the player will chose them over anyone else?

Yes.

That's the new Caf logic along with the logic that every latin/spanish player we sign will be off to Barca/Real in 4-5 years and we can't do anything about it

That's a retarded assumption to make.

Not necessarily, it depends what his priorities are.

He'd get more playing time with us for a start.

Not really. He's got the opertunity to play with possibly the best team there's ever been, with arguably the best player there's ever been. Barca are the benchmark, any player would want to be part of that. Barca pay more wages and he'll pay less tax. And I wouldnt agree about the playing time to be honest, I think he'd walk straight into that Barca team and either Villa or Pedro will fight it out for the last attacking place.

Plus, Barcelona as a place shits all over Manchester, big time. Remember he's fecking South American.

Sanchez doesnt just play right wing. We're lacking a world class creative player in midfield.

I dont dispute that but from what I hear he plays more of a second striker role rather than creative midfielder. It just sounds like he plays exactly the same roles as Young.

'squeaky key time' is officially upon us now fellas.

I've rearranged my schedule to spend the next couple of days within reach of the F5 key, on which I've performed a full service so as it will endure the onslaught about to commence...

You could say that, but he's 10 times the player, so I can see why we're after him.

So the best team there's ever been is just going to dump one of it's constituent parts to accommodate him.

I don't see that at all.

If we sign both Young AND Sanchez (which I doubt anyway), surely that doesn't bode well for either Nani or Berbatov.

That's a retarded assumption to make.

It really isnt at all. Its the easy and obvious assumption which often will prove to be correct.

If the papers are correct and both us and Barcelona have bidded for him and you had to put money on who he would choose.

Which team would you say?

Udinese have confirmed that all five clubs interested in Alexis Sanchez have made offers.

Sanchez to choose from quintet | Football News | Sky Sports

This is my take on that..

Udinese have confirmed that utd, city, barca, inter, juve all have lodged bids and that its more likely for him to move abroad which rules out inter and juve and he also said the late push by barca has changed the scenario somewhat. So I assume he means city were never in consideration by Sanchez and he was united bound but now that Barca are in the frame "only god knows"

I don't see that at all.

Maybe not dump anyone but increase their squad? But on the other hand where does he fit in at Barca? They already have one talismanic figure...do they need two?

:annoyed: Has any player ever actually gone for money over prestige of playing for a bigger club?.. Anyone who passed on United to play for a team in its first season in the CL. Let alone a star with some pedigree. if anything City are last in order.

its either us or Barca.

Most of City and Chelsea's signings over the last few years!

KM says you're wrong

You said he'll be retarded if he chooses us over Barcelona, I got a problem with that statement. However, not a surprise that you and Randall Flagg think on the lines of this.
