Alexis Sanchez | Udinese: No Deal Yet

£25.4m is a really good price for him, sounds like a City bid though because only they can start negotiation with such amount. I'm probably talking bollocks though because it might have been anyone.

I doubt he would want to move to City. I mean he must be aware of playing time there. So it is either us or Chelsea. The latter is what I m worried about. They are rebuilding again and are prepared to spend and bring in good youngsters - David Luiz, Alexis Sanchez and Marek Hamsik.

He would be a star in that City team and I think Tevez will leave in the Summer, making way for a new forward - which Sanchez could easily be.

Liverpool might have bid that for him in Jan.

He'd be vying for a starting place with at least 4 others here so there's no guarantee wherever he goes

Not exactly. He's versatile. He can play both wings, in the hole or as a striker. Ideally he's a winger in a 4-3-3 system but he would get a lot of game time in a Utd shirt.

Manchester United target Alexis Sanchez has moved a step closer to his Udinese exit by claiming he has no preference as to where he goes this summer.

Udinese are resigned to losing the exciting Chile international and Sir Alex Ferguson has spoken of his admiration for the attacking midfielder in the past.

"We have looked at Sanchez and he has impressed us, as have other players," said Ferguson previously.

"He has had very good games and is an interesting project. We have gathered some background, as with other footballers at his level, but nothing more than this - for the moment."

Sanchez, 22, came to United's attention during last summer's World Cup and Ferguson is ready to make a summer move for him - but Barcelona and Inter Milan are also said to be keen.

And Udinese star Sanchez says he is not bothered where he goes.

"I am concentrating on Udinese at the moment and trying to get as further up the table," Sanchez said.

"Playing in Spain or England? I do not care. I have no preference really. I could also stay in Italy too."

Sanchez would be a great signing, but they should have signed him a couple of years ago. His value has at least quadrupled.

Feck me, if we signed both Pastore and Sanchez I'd stock up on tissues and baby oil and stay home for a week.

But it's never gonna happen.

He'll be playing at Anfield next year.

Never even them play properly, but their names alone are good enough for me.

Sign em up I say.

picking up a lot of noises (from various sources) "on the circut" on how chelsea are going to move for some amazing players in the summer

as for names: would be surprised if alexis sanchez isn't playing premier league in august. neymar rather unlikely imo.

regarding pastore --> man utd. nothing from what i've heard suggests that it's likely to happen. not sure how suited to the premier league

maybe not quite on the mainstream radar just yet but fernando (92-born, defensive midfielder of gremio) enjoying interest from top pl clubs

All of our muppet dreams signing for other clubs, thought you'd all be used to it by now.

Chelsea and City are really going to flex their muscles this summer. Chelsea have already spent some 70 million, I think another 40 million or so for them. City will go nuts given that they'll now be in the CL.

Lets get number 19 before it's too late :nervous:

So I see Chelsea's "if its broke, throw money at it" way of thinking will be in full force this summer.

I should read up about that. I'm not sure what it means exactly.

It means that Manchester United, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Barcelona will be able to outspend everyone else and not get into trouble for it. Heck even Bayern Munich Juve and Liverpol would be allowed to outspend Chelsea and City.

That sounds extremely fair :D

Liverpool make £35m offer for Chelsea target - Sportingo

Reports are circulating that Liverpool have made a huge offer for Udinese flyer Alexis Sanchez.

The Italian club chairman Franco Soldati told Sky Italia that an early official bid has come in, with many believing that it originated from Anfield, with Kenny Dalglish very keen to strengthen his team on the flanks.

He would have little doubt that Sanchez could strike up an excellent rapport with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez.

"Sanchez is of interest to both English and Italian teams. A team has already offered a figure close to 30-35 million euros [for Sanchez] but I cannot say where it came from," Udinese chairman Franco Soldati told Sky Italia.

Udinese Sporting Director Fabrizio Larini added fuel to the fire on Calciomercato:

That was last month and it was Man City

edit: Not last month, last week £28m
