Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

feck. City will sign him won't they? That's a great deal for them at any price. Never thought I'd say this but it almost makes me want to switch to the other side of town.

Really and would you consider yourself a typical United fan?

City getting Sanchez will increase their chances winning the league pretty fecking much. Why we didn't give it a shot?

City and Pep are stupid tho.

They keep adding attacking players when they already have an abundance of them. All it will do is create an even bigger log jam upfront and cause another quality player to be sat on the bench. Sure Sanchez is talented and will be an upgrade to whoever he replaces as starter but still won't help their porous defense and average goaltending / still a very susceptible side with a lot of imbalance.

I really don't understand why City are neglecting their CM. Someone like Seri would make more sense than Alexis. Alexis is fantastic but City have plenty of offensive options.

So after signing him, who is going to leave? and if not surely they will be benching some talented player Sterling/Sane or maybe Pep plays Alexis as num 9 and start shifting him with Auguero! Anyhow that will give them a hell of an option.

Should I spoil the party? Yeah, the guy has several of such videos on youtube if you search well enough and it's a show he puts up.

Aww, party pooper Kevin. Yeah, that changes things a bit - he's just a bit of a loon in the end, obviously. You'd think he could get in tune at least but where are his parents to save him from this embarrassment

Needs a Simon Cowell intervention

Crazy. Looking from the outside in, I don't understand the rationale of selling Aguero over Sanchez. I'd prefer Aguero all day long.

I would too, but even though he runs more and gets into better positions I just don't see Aguero thriving in the current City setup

This signing decides the title.

We need to be in for him. I'm happy to spend £100million of someone elses money to win the title even for an ageing Chilean forward.

rubbish does it, even if we sign him we've still enough problems at the back that haven't been fully addressed

Christ, if I were Sanchez after watching that 'song' I'd be pushing for a move to Spurs.

This is a bit odd. Sanchez is obviously a fantastic player and will be a great signing but you'd have thought city would be after a centre back or defensive midfielder. Last season all the talk was about Sane-Sterling-Jesus going forward, what has happened between then and now that Pep has decided actually that isn't the way to go.

Well the experts reckon they might have dished out £320m in transfer fees by the end of today as they want both Sanchez AND Evans.

Unlike @Successful, those numbers (£320,000,000) don't make me want to switch to the other side of town, they make me a little sick to my stomach about the "sport".

Even if City get Sanchez, I don't think it makes them massive favourites for the title. Yes, they will be favourites but not by much. I don't think the harmony in that squad will all be great. Aguero being the main one.

The only reasonable explanation is Pep sees those players as long term projects and Sanchez to bring in instant impact. Essentially, City are running after instant success. But, hey, which club isn't?
