So according to James Olley, We're interested but Sanchez prefers Man City over United. feck that cnut. That's the 3rd time he snubbed us.

Hopefully this will stop people crying over us not being interested or not getting him.

He's chosen City over us because of the weather.

He has rejected us twice, the time he went for Barcelona it was understandable as they were coming off a CL win, have a nicer location and had a better team (not to mention Spanish speaking contingent). When he picked Arsenal over us it became clear though that he just doesn't want to come here.

City will eventually submit a bid that Arsenal will accept. I think it's going to be closer to £100m, probably £80m - £85m but won't be surprised even if they offer full £100m.

We weren't in the Champions League that season so it likely came into play.

But now, it's become pretty apparent considering it's the same city and he's eager to play for a manager who didn't seem to really fancy him after a while at Barca.

Oh well, can't have them all. Not buying the Mahrez rumours either.

City will be spoilt for choice attacking wise, but throwing Sterling under the bus like that is a bit silly after the great start he's had.

I find the £50m offer weird though. They just sold Ox, a much inferior player with exactly the same contract situation, to Chelsea for £35m. Sanchez has to go for at least twice that.

Did Sanchez really reject us for Arsenal?

I remember him choosing Barca over us but didn't realise we went for him again.

Probably starting low to unsettle Sanchez even further.

Arsene secured him early in Brazil...

Sadly, fecker LVG reached the final of the WC so he wasn't really paying attention to the players in the market.

So i doubt he rejected us. LvG never ever contacted him.

If Sanchez goes to City, United needs to get another player. Sanchez will be a major boost to City's attacking power. United will need to boost their attacking power if they want to win the tittle this season.

Of course. Not disputing that. Bar Sanchez's final season at Barca, he was very disappointing there.

Ye, he's a very good player no doubt, but I wouldn't lose my mind if he went to City. They've already got the best attack in the league, unsettling and pushing more attackers down the pecking order is just going to cause more problems if anything. It's the rest of their team that needs fixing.

Just shows the difference in quality between the Prem and the other top leagues. The best players round here are cast-offs or decent players in other top leagues.

Lingard has a new contract, homegrown maybe we could get cash plus Sanchez from Arsenal?

Like someone said, I hope we are at least throwing in an offer if only to force City to pay more. I'd take him at a crazy price. Really don't want them to get him for like 60m.

He's my favourite player in the league to watch and, in my opinion, the best, but if he's this adamant at not wanting to come here then there's no point. We don't need another di María.

I understand why Sanchez wants to leave but where would he play at City?

They've been playing with 3 at the back, so I'm guessing something like:

-------Silva
Sane-----Kompany----Aguero---KDB------Mendy
-----------Gundogan-----Other Silva
Sterling----------Sanchez
----------Jesus

De Bruyne doesnt start? No Kun?

Madness.

Logic dosen't follow. Neymar is currently the third best player on the planet so of course Sanchez would lose out to him. Nevertheless, that dosen't change the fact that Sanchez would start for any team right now barring Real Madrid despite the fact that he hasn't even manged to win PFA since his arrival.

What happened here? Oh just noticed Silva in goal, never mind.

No one at least like Sanchez's drive to win? We keep bitching about Arsenal's comfort zone losers yet here is someone who distinguishes himself from that group. Sanchez hasn't won much yet but could see him figuring aggressively in a team of big characters like we are currently developing. Shame if he goes to City.

Ox is much younger and unlike Sanchez will have a good resale value in 5 years.

Personally, I find Sanchez a bit overrated on here. He would improve City's attack but just how much is anyone's guess.

...Yeh and also an incredibly average footballer whilst Sanchez is world class. No comparison at all between the two.

The price is not determined solely by the quality of the player right now but also by his resale value. Otherwise, Zlatan wouild easuly cost 80 mil. in today's market. In 5 years Sanchez would cost next to nothing, Ox would command a very good fee even if his isn't a big success at his next club.

It doesn't convince me. One is an average winger, the other is one of the best forwards in the league. Their resale value in 5 years is not something you consider now, especially with the market going wild.
