Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

I can't see Arsenal selling to a competitor, so (i) he stays as Arsenal pays up, (ii) he let's his contract run down,or (iii) Bayern buy him next summer.

RVP?
Sagna?
Clichy?

Okay the last two aren't exactly of the stature of Robin or of Sanchez but still, they're a selling club and if a competitor comes in with the right offer, they'll sell.

Maybe it's all part of their wage structure and it's only their former legends in management/board getting top dollar.
Nope, mate. We pay top wages for our top players. It's pretty much confirmed that Müller is the top earner on 15m/year and that Lewandowski will sign a similar deal the next weeks. The other important players aren't on significantly less money either.

Neuer became the best paid goalkeeper in the world this year as well, when he signed his new contract and is apparantly on 15m/year as well. That's about 290k Euro/week.

So the sites listing wages are full of shit, which looked the most likely. That site had squad players on 1-10 grand a week

Yeah, obviously. I mean, the one posted on the previous page with Bayern's wages for 16/17 was written in August 2016, listed Kirchhoff's wages for the 2016/17 season even though he had moved to Sunderland 6 months earlier. Great research there. I doubt there are any even remotely accurate lists of wages out there, a lot is guess work anyway because no one knows exactly how much is base wages and bonuses and most of the time the bloggers or 'journalists' don't put in the effort to track down all the most recent sources.

Anyway, if Sanchez really is interested in joining Bayern, the wages won't be a problem. I hope Vidal tells him how great it is to live in Munich, would love to have Sanchez in the team.

Only a few clubs outside of England can afford wages of 250k per week, maybe only PSG, Real and Bayern, assuming that he won't return to Barca.

And if Arsenal refuse to meet his wage demands then I can see him leaving them for us or Chelsea. I would welcome him with open arms.

I rather have Martial back to last season form. Arsenal probably won't sell anyway

Can he play on the left well, or would it just be square pegs in round holes?

Arguably his best position, cutting in on his stronger foot

No chance Wenger would sell Jose a virus though let alone his best player

In my opinion the best PL player this season. He's not playing in his favourite position but still deliver the goods, he's arsenal most creative player with highest through ball in PL, scoring a lot of goals and only 1 goal behind Costa, he can play in many different position such as left, right winger, second striker and now he shows that he can also plays as a lone striker. People who said no to this guy right now must be mad. He's pretty much in a must purchase list if he's available for PL clubs.
Wenger is a type of manager who can't keep his players and I reckon if Sanchez says he wants to leave then Wenger will allow him to go.

Absolute dream . Incredible player, works hard on the pitch and is like a dynamite when he dribbles. Maybe when we offload Depay, Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger we could try and piss Wenger off with an offer for him

Can't see it happening in spite of the money we can throw at them. Wenger will more likely pay Pep to take Alexis off his hands, than sell to Mou for 75m.

My guess is he'll end up at Chelsea, City or PSG, or Juve if he wants guaranteed trophies over money.

28 today, would say he's entering his peak years. If he leaves for another Premier League team he's likely to be the difference in who wins the league. Arsenal are stupid to be stalling on an extra 50K a week.

290K a week, supposedly what Pogbas on, would turn his head and bring him here.

Only chance he stays is if Wenger leaves this summer IMO. If he doesn't then he will run his contract down and leave for a cut down price.

So ready-made for Chelsea its unreal. Easily replaces Pedro/Willian/Fabregas and can be main striker when Costa is banned/injured/rested during a harder run of 4 competitions next season. Batshuyi might be expensive but he's no Sanchez.

I think the Arse fans would run riot if they sold him to a London rival. Either City or Bayern bound i reckon.

Think only reason why Wenger and Arsenal aren't meeting his demands is because they fear it would start an avalanche with Ozil asking for the same amount, possibly some other players as well, tho slightly lower amounts.

With that being said taking into consideration the wonderful relationship Mourinho and Wenger share i can see Wenger paying Guardiola to go for him rader than selling him to UTD.

He looks more and more frustrated as the games go by

He's off

Wenger wouldn't even sell Debuchy to us let alone their best player!

He's a top player. One of he and Ozil will be gone this summer.

Sadly, I could see Sanchez at Bayern.

This is pretty much a no brainer, especially if Arse don't make top 4. If he goes to City, they will win all kinds of trophies.

He's as obvious a successor as you'll get for Ribery.
