Just the thought of not having to watch that useless turd Valenica on the wing, week in week out, fills me with absolute joy.
Hasn't he just signed a new contract?Just the thought of not having to watch that useless turd Valenica on the wing, week in week out, fills me with absolute joy.

So would I, it's behind that lot that worries meIf we started the season with Sanchez, Januzaj, Welbeck, Kagawa and Mata as the options for the two wide forward roles in 4-3-3 I'd be very happy.

One can dreamWe can buy Vidal and Strootman to play there.

One can dream
We will play in 4-2-3-1 Like his old Ajax team.
Trouble is, is that our dreams have been crushed quite horrifically the last few years. I see it now as if the player isn't sitting next to Woody/LVG then we haven't got a hope in hell of signing him.Always fun to dream until the moment they the dream is crushed by the hefty boot of reality.

Glad LvG let you know how he will set us up.
You're more likely to be right given the players at our disposal. Moving to a proper 433 means no place for some of our best players. He always sets up like that when he can, you assume that we are going to play in 4-3-3 , why can't i assume that we are going to play in his favorite set up ?
This is the same Sanchez that joined one of the best teams in the world at the time, who was given his favoured attacking position.....and still managed to 'flop' (in many people's eyes)?
I am genuinely unsure why the sudden huge excitement (and comparing him with Reus?!)
Not a dig, I am happy to be proved wrong.

He's hardly flopped. He scored 19 league goals last season which was more than Pedro, Neymar and only behind Messi while only Cesc and Messi set up more goals. He was very good last year but supposedly doesn't fit into Enrique's plans.
He proved you wrong this season. And at Udinese he was in a role similar to Reus at Dortmund. He had to adapt totally his style and his playing zones.
Probably because LVG wont restrict him as much as he was restricted at Barca.^ The Guardian said we might be keen.
I'd be very excited for us to sign him, not really sure why as I don't think he's been very good for Barcelona.
Unfortunately the piece was written by Jamie Jackson in the Guardian and he has a reputation for spouting endless transfer nonsense similar to the daily star, Express and Metro etcProbably because LVG wont restrict him as much as he was restricted at Barca.
He's been spot on regarding united so far so I wouldn't bet against it being true.Unfortunately the piece was written by Jamie Jackson in the Guardian and he has a reputation for spouting endless transfer nonsense similar to the daily star, Express and Metro etc

Didn't we try get him from Udinese? Understandable that he turned us down for Barca to be honest.
Really? He does great with young players but he's not a magic worker here... Lingard is a promising player but if we're being honest, he's more then likely going to end up at a mid table premier league team considering has age and has only played in the championship currently. Don't think there's much hope of him becoming a first team player ever, he's just not on that level of talent. Sanchez on the other hand would instantly be our best winger by far and would make the right wing his own for the next 6 years at least.Tbh i'd rather see Lingard given a shot by a manager who does wonders with young talents. I'd welcome the move though, Sanchez is class.
we must have a mutual friend, because I had a very similar type of friend. Kept on posting videos of the guy on facebook constantly.

It's not about what he could do if he was playing in a different system though, it's about what he is already doing in a different system. 6 goals and 8 assists in his last 16 starts for Chile show that he's got so much more to offer creatively than he's been able to show for Barcelona.
That camped in the opposition half thing is actually something that works against Alexis, I reckon. In a more counter attacking team, against opponents who don't sit so deep, would make him more dangerous. He's good technically but in tight spaces he's nothing special really, and he can run out of ideas at times - if had more room to run in behind he'd be lethal, given how excellent his movement (and pace) is.
Though that said, I do generally agree with the point you make.
