We should be looking to sign players who genuinely wants to play for the club then the one who joins just for money.

And how do you know Sanchez dosen't want to play for us?
This Pep love is being blown way out of proportion folks are acting as if they have a relationship like Fegie and Ronaldo. He played like two odd seasons under him they are not exactly bum chums.

Half expecting some vague communication from Sanchez that he's "going to Manchester" in that way that foreign players do

The John Cross article claims arsenal players have said he's off to MUFC.

He was on Bein sport flapping his gums saying he’s definitely going City yesterday. I just find it dumb how journalists see are interest, are fully aware City aren’t willing to pay the price and wait until the summer but yet any advances in Alexis leaving still point to City. Logically it doesn’t make sense.

So would we drop our record signing in Lukaku? In my eyes Lukaku will remain as our main striker, while Sanchez will probably take the left wing role if it goes thru.

..........Lukaku
Martial Lingard Sanchez

The 3 behind can all rotate. Sanchez doing the Mata role, drifting centrally and getting upfront with Lukaku when we are in possession.

Comparing Tier lists on the club subreddits, John Cross is the arsenal equivalent of a Jamie Jackson or an Ogden, or Telegraph/guardian for MUFC.
I thought Jamie Jackson was unreliable?

Not at all, Lukaku would stay up top. Sanchez would likely play behind him or as a nominal RW, essentially taking Mkhitaryans place. Or who knows, maybe we will play him ahead of Rashford and Martial at LW. Regardless, he would make us a hell of a lot better.

We don't know what his intentions are so why not wait before labeling him a cash grab?

For all we know Jose presented him as a key piece of our attack over just being another piece of the puzzle at City.
Well City are more likely to win silverware then a United side still in transition. If he was moving for trophies and not the money City would've been a logical conclusion.

MEN are reporting Sachez spotted in United offices in London. Probably a lie but who cares. Lube and boxers off ready to wank.
Ooooooh Mourinho is a master

Current climate?

He is, but he also was the first to say that Jose was "obsessed with Lukaku". My comparison was merely to highlight that John Cross is not "indykilla" level. They all get transfers wrong. It's only the likes of Di Marzio and BBC that hit way above average because of better sourcing/contacts. That doesn't mean the rest are just written off....unless we can prove they are continual and habitual fakers.

We are second you know, in the champions league have one of the best managers in the world etc. Also i could spin it as Sanchez being incredibally ambitious and challenging so as to help put manutd on top of the league. If press had run with this, you would be creaming yourself.
He was in same situation at Arsenal he could've helped but instead chose to sulk.

Okay Guardian saying Arsenal want Henrikh mkhitarayan (seperate transfer).
Other papers saying Malcom will be his replacement

John cross of the mirror saying Sanchez teamates think he will sign for us in next few days.
Tbh they'll need both for when Ozil joins on a free in the summer ;)

Still don't want to be that excited, some here talk about his squad number and position already. Got a feeling that City will pay what he and Arsenal wants at the end and all these journos will look absolutely have no clue with it as usual. Maybe I feel this way just because we all were set up that he is joining City.

He's not cup tied in Europe and am I right in thinking he isn't cup tied in the FA Cup either?

I genuinely can't believe City's position can change so drastically in a matter of months. How do you go from sanctioning a £60m bid in the summer to refusing to budge on £20m in the winter?

They spent £26m on a back-up full back in the summer and now they're willing to let a player of Sanchez's ilk sign for a rival because they deem £35m to be too much for him? Either this isn't the whole story or they are incredibly stupid.

I'm happy for us to be being fighting this hard and putting these numbers on the table for Sanchez. He's a truly world class player in my opinion and a player we lack. We lack a bit of ego and that unwavering self confidence to keep trying things when things aren't going well.

Let's not celebrate until we've actually signed him.

Could be massive for us in the next 3-4 years.
