Rooney mk 2. No pace left, was a world beater two seasons ago, now just mediocre. Play Martial or Rashford, they are the future.
I would not call Sanchez as a good player for United. I'd call him bang average as an attacker. At United Sanchez is yet to match Martial's or Rashfords top performances level for us.Ok but you being sure isn't consequential. According to Castles (Mourinho's mouthpiece) Mourinho wanted Moura but Woodward made a beeline for Sanchez, same with Mourinho wanting Kante but Woodward preferring another more marketable alternative in Pogba. Maybe Mourinho approved them but it doesn't make him the proposer.
Either way though I think both players are pretty good, feels like the other players need to step up their games to Sanchez' level rather than vice versa.
He should be dropped, at least for a few game.
Give Rashford a run at that LW position. No Martial please as he has been equally shit when called upon.
Rashford deserves a run, he can not be worse than Alexis or Martial.
I'm not sure we're seeing same things. He clearly gives a fuk and is active, how he's playing is another matter, but not giving a fuk is not his problem at all imo.
It's bizarre how Mourinho won't try him at all on the right?
He has played there before to a better standard than anyone else in the squad and it's not like he is pulling up trees on the left?
Maybe Mourinho promised him a free run from the left to get him to join us over City but our team balance would better with him on the right.
Anyway he needs to up his game. Totally in effective.
I dont think he's on 500k, that's a myth. He's on 500k a week for the next four years winding his career down, the cnuts laughing.
Luckhurst made this dig earlier in the match but same applies to Alexis Sanchez:
3 goals for our highest earner since signing is poor.
In what way has he declined physically? He's still working extremely hard for the team? But let's continue making sarcastic remarks about 29 = 40 years old soon... hehehe. Flop. And yes, declining physical prowess becaue of age is the reason here.
Not going to get any prettier when he turns... 45 next year! (See what I did there, magnificent joke, give me friendly pats on my shoulder oh the rest of ue top reds on the caf).
Many players can want out and not get out. Contracts can be negotiated etc.How did Wenger see it? Alexis wanted out, it's not that Wenger wanted to sell him.

He doesn't have to run a marathon, players that hold their positions don't have high numbers but are very intense with their runs.Stats do not seem to confirm this. He doesn't run a lot, less than 9km per game.
The thing is his teammates must be wondering how he's still starting matches, he's been that bad.
It's amazing how I never noticed him lose the ball as much at Arsenal, yet Ray Parlour mentioned it the day he signed for United on talksport.
It's also clear the Arsenal fans and ex-players don't feel he was much of an actual loss.
I think its more losing a yard of pace, than declining physically as he clearly looks after himself. He can beat a man with a turn, but not leave them behindIn what way has he declined physically? He's still working extremely hard for the team?

All of our players numbers are lower than our rivals, are all of our players declining physically?
Again I've never thought of Sanchez being blistering fast though? He's not really a dribbler, just fantastic in tight spaces.I think its more losing a yard of pace, than declining physically as he clearly looks after himself. He can beat a man with a turn, but not leave them behind
if you are still hoping to make it as a premier league footballer then yes.How can a 29 year old man be thought to be in physical decline! I’m 29 FFS, is this the end for me too?
Pretty dreadful when you say it like that.
He started well today, loads of energy, good movement and a few decent passes here and there (one brilliant one for Lukaku who miss-controlled the ball and fluffed the chance), then he went off the boil and never recovered. I think he was missing Luke Shaw as well, they were beginning to form a decent partnership down the left before Shaw got injured.

But Sanchez played closer to goal for Arsenal, he wasn't tracking back but he would pressure the CB or holdng midfielder to make things happen. He worked incredibly hard in a non pressing side. That's wrong. Lingard's numbers are fantastic. Besides, Sanchez run even less at Arsenal. It's a myth that he works extremely hard. Mkhi runs much more than him.
He is a forward on astronomical wages and has scored 2 league goals since his transfer in January. That's terrible.

For mins/goal alone he's worse than Smalling but for overall contributions Sanchez has been one of the best statistically... just probably still lacking what many would expect from him for whatever reason.
In the same way Rooney did basically. Everything is that little bit sloppier, heavier touch, slower turns, slower reactions, weaker when using it all together to keep opponents away. For some players, they adapt to these differences and make it a lot less noticeable. Some players really decline and struggle once they lose a bit of the sharpness. Think Sanchez is in that boat. Just 3 goals in the calendar year for a player who got his reputation for being a goalscorer and creative player would support that.In what way has he declined physically? I cant speak with conviction how he played at Arsenal, he just gave the impression of being a real incessant pest and had no problem going past people. His goal return isn't much a concern of mine, compared to the general 90 mins. Maybe he isn't in the game as much with us, or plays deeper?Again I've never thought of Sanchez being blistering fast though? He's not really a dribbler, just fantastic in tight spaces.
I honestly think the declining physically point of view are just buzz words that are repeated over and over again until its becomes fact in certain fans minds.
I
At Arsenal he was all action, he went wherever he wanted to and the team reacted to it.
Here he's playing with better players so has to play with a bit more discipline and is getting into less goal scoring positions because of it.
I don't think he's turned into Rooney overnight.
All competitions. He's scored 1 from open play in the league in 15 starts. Is this all compets or just the PL? How many goals has Sanchez scored from open play in the league and in how many starts?

Yep. They see Sanchez work out at the gym all the time and his pics of being ripped... doesn't really impact how he actually is when it's all being put together on the pitch and with his speed of thought. It all goes down a little bit but is noticeable when he's on the pitch with others in their prime. Many people underrate how all those things are directly linked to fitness
