Typo. Apologies. Fixed now.
Great to see the no.7 shirt back on the pitch again.
He's not 30....
He's not 30....
Mate, on this forum, when you are in your late 20s...you are 30+. And when you are 30+, some on here believe the player walks around on a zimmer frame.
- a precious or semi-precious stone, especially when cut and polished or engraved.
- an outstanding person or thing.
Who said a gem needs to be a fecking fetus?
Okay, he's 29, can a player who's past his physical peak be called a "gem"? I'm not sure.He literally just turned 29 and yes he is a fecking gem!

He can.Okay, he's 29, can a player who's past his physical peak be called a "gem"? I'm not sure.
Why can't we call him a diamond then? Let's agree to disagree here. You are not past your physical peak at 29. He is IN his physical peak.
He's still in his physical peak.. Since when do you start declining when you just turned 29 a month ago? Past his physical peak usually is early 30's. Like 31-32 these days. He's got a few years left at his peak.Okay, he's 29, can a player who's past his physical peak be called a "gem"? I'm not sure.
Codswallop. David Silva is 32 and still better than nearly anyone in the league. You are not past your physical peak at 29. He is IN his physical peak.
Hes still really fit and mobile unlike Rooney. He'll age well i think. His biggest asset is his ability to create his own space in and around the box with his excellent technique. That won't change even if he gets slower.
I agree and also think Lingard can play on the right. With all of them being able to move around, the interchange can be really potent.
Yeah, it's obviously different depending on the players, and sometimes a top players decline can sort of come out of nowhere and surprise people, but with Rooney the signs were there.
He was pretty much playing the role of a first-team player from the age of 16 onwards, and while he was technically gifted often relied on his pace and power to excel as a player.
Sanchez wasn't really an established first-team player in a top league until his late-teens/early 20s, and seems to depend more on skill than Rooney did. Might not last as a top player till 35 but we should certainly be able to get two or three top class seasons out of him, which would be superb considering the deal we got him on.
The age of starting first team football thing isn't really science, Rooney just didn't take care of himself very well look at how often he was photographed drunk, plus his body type probably is prone to putting on fat. Sanchez has at least 3 top level years with us and probably will still be decent at 33 maybe even 34.
Wtf?Okay, he's 29, can a player who's past his physical peak be called a "gem"? I'm not sure.
That makes him a stand out is that he runs with his head up and actually is looking to pick the player out rather aimlessly launch the ball in a hope after having run himself into a crowd.Normally wouldn’t get excited about a debut against yeovil town but even against amateur opposition, it’s so blatantly obvious he’s a world class player. The touch, the movement, he just stands out. He looked the most comfortable player on the ball by a million miles
