Putting pressure on Sanchez won't amount to much. If he's in a team that is built and coached to attack with flair and aggression then he'll perform very well. If he isn't, then he won't. See Pogba. See Martial. See Lukaku. Jesus, if we could actually create chances Lukaku would be troubling the 45 mark. He's just hit Everton numbers with Pogba in supply instead of Leon Osman, yet people question the real problems?

Selfish, but I'm kind of glad he's not in the world cup. He can have a full pre-season with us and hopefully be ready for the season, where he can display the type of form he showed at Arsenal. Big season ahead for him.

Agreed. But then where would we be without double-standards?

Please please please let him get back to his best this season. Such a good player when he's on form.
For that we gonna a need a natural left footed fullback who has engine to do the constant overlaps dragging the defenders away from Sanchez and giving him options, unfortunately Young doesn't fit the bill.

Young does plenty of attacking runs and Sanchez almost always uses it as a decoy. Sanchez has just been average except for a couple of big games. Sanchez at Arsenal was not reliant on teammates and would regularly bail them out with individual brilliance.

He has the quality to perform regardless of team mates, there was obviously something wrong and it wasn't age either, because he has been dribbling past players with ease and getting kick off the park every game and still going.

If he can start the season well, and Pogba and Lukaku get up to speed quickly after their world cup exertions, there's plenty of cause for optimism.

So glad he had a summer rest. Let’s hope he can hit the ground running and bang in a goal or two in the early games to get the confidence flowing.
