He has been a pointless signing so far.

Totally misused and he doesn't improve the team at all playing on the left.

Surely the best position for Sanchez is to be at #10 with Martial on the left and Lukaku up front. Lingard/Mata/Rashford can fill the right side.

I don't think we will see the player who in 2014-15 and 15-16 was dribbling and creating chances by himself on the left, he looks to have lost that extra burst of pace which enabled him not just to accelerate over a short distance but to keep running at the same speed in long distances. He can create good chances in short spaces, but I guess the days of him picking the ball deep (whether in the wing or midfield) and going past 3 or 4 players are over.

Still, a better option than all the other attackers, needs better teammates in the midfield, probably missing the quality link-up with Ozil.

Since day one with us he tried to do everything on his own and it's working as well as when Rooney did it. Needs to concentrate on getting into scoring positions more and less on trying to win every ball back and build up play from between our defenders.

Didn’t do much but create our best chance of the game.

It's not bad but we need to have a better coherent attack with him. Something isn't right. We weren't the best attacking team in the world but we weren't that disjointed at the same time. We're struggling to integrate him into the team with all these strong fixtures coming. Currently he's mostly playing on his own.

Yes, but we need a better midfielder for that. Pogba + Matic is not good enough to support that attacking quartet.

Still hasn't really done much to justify moving Martial out of position in my eyes. Barely spends any time on the left in attack anyway (his best moment this game came from him being on the right).

I wish we never signed Sanchez, I'd rather still have Miki playing in the reserves. Martial getting dropped has totally ruined the morale of the team, and I suspect Pogba was quite outspoken to Mourinho about this with regards to his french teammate. Thats why Pogba has been dropped too. The meritocracy that should pick a teams best XI was killed when we signed Sanchez and dropped Martial for him. It makes players think as good as they are playing they might get dropped altogether anyway no matter how well they are playing.

By effectively replacing Martial with Sanchez, you are perhaps slightly upgrading United for the next 2-3 years, but you're downgrading us significantly for the next 10. Whats next? Are we gonna sign a top class keeper to bench De Gea?

He's been poor. Don't understand why he's on the left when we had martial and rashford already. The left channel was where our attack was effective. Now the whole thing doesn't work.

I said this when you bought him and was accused of being bitter.

I have it on good authority that some players even cried the first few nights after Martial lost his spot. Heartbreaking stuff.

How many really good players need to look poor before the penny drops for everybody?

Spot on, there was one point tonight where he was scrambling back to cover the full back!!

This guy is an out and out attacker and we're asking him to do the dogs work.

I wanna see him in the 10 role, with Rashford and Martial on the flanks.

He hasn't settled in yet, and joining in January wasn't gonna be easy for him to settle.

But with no World Cup in the Summer, I really hope he gets a great pre-season in and we see the best from him next season.

He's been like a pointless luxury FIFA career mode signing so far. Great talent, but Mourinho needs to figure out how to bring the best out of him in this system.

This is just brilliant.

Frankly, Sanchez has been f###ing s##t since we signed him, creates the occasional good chance but he just tries way to hard and seemingly lacks that proper efficiency and goal threat. We looked WAY MORE LIKELY TO SCORE after Martial came on and looked like making something happen.

And the main thing is when Martial can't make something happen he tends to keep possession really well and do a backpass to keep us with the ball and in possession, Sanchez seems to force things that are never going to come off and in doing so lose the ball and possession, all the bloody time. If you'd only just started watching football, you'd think Martial was the 29 year old and Sanchez was the 22 year old.

He honestly looked a better player whilst half arsed at Arsenal where he didn't need to play so deep.

He’s been more a luxury signing for us so far than he ever would have been for City, which is remarkable really.

People can accuse me and others of kneejerking, but I think Sanchez’s signing has the potential to have serious repercussions for us. Our manager has essentially strengthened the strongest area of our attack with a player who is probably just the wrong side of his peak and has displaced two of the best young talents in the game and is essentially expecting them to fill in elsewhere when necessary. These guys are only going to improve and are better medium and long term prospects should they be nutured properly. It would be a monumental error to allow either of them, if not both even, to fizzle out and leave the club not having fulfilled their potential. It was mismanagement to end up with Depay and Martial in one transfer window, with Rashford not even on the radar, and now we have Sanchez, Rashford and Martial. There’s a genuine possibility that Sanchez’s signing could leave us worse off long term than we otherwise might have been without him.

Of course I was excited when Sanchez was signed, but I never expected him to go inside left by default and the other two to go whistle. Is this it? Was this the vision? The squad is now even more unbalanced in attack than it was when Mkhi was here.

His been a big fish in a small pond for too long. It's like he can't play simple passes. Hopefully he will turn around soon

Oh this is classic, cant wait for next player to join. Drool about X player while playing for Y team, then we sign him, drooler get all hyped up, "missing link" "true world class player" and all kinds of nonsense. First few games X looks good, hype gets even more real, " X will transform us into world beaters", game by game and X slowly merge into crap before him, drooler :"Next!" and repeat.

That's not happening. Sanchez has not had a good performance for us yet. You can see his quality, but he's not done better than Martial - even a subbed on Martial.

Honestly don’t think playing him on the left is doing him or the team any favours.

More than willing to give him another pass at least he is 100% motivated and hangs himself in there. Was great when he chased Jesus Navas down the field because he got the better off him anticipating the long ball before.

This is my big concern, that this signing will result in Martial leaving cos hes p###ed off, Pogba leaving cos hes annoyed about it as well and De Gea also leaving because the team that with the younger lads Martial and Rashford looked to be building to something special suddenly looks like that potential will be ruined and we won't win s##t. De Gea could go ahhh I'm not gonna win nothing here and leave. And the fact is, we are screwed if we lose our best 3 players (losing 1 is bad enough, but I can see us losing more than 1), as I have no doubt, Pogba, De Gea and Martial are our top 3 best players.

If things keep going like they have since Sanchez signed and Mourinho got his contract extension, either we will lose some of our best players and be set back 3-5 years, or Jose will be gone at the end of this season or middle of next season (Chelsea 15/16 style).
