He turned them down though. Can't believe Lyon would accept less than £25/30m for him though, swear the prices were close to £60m when he was linked with all the big clubs!
I'd say average. Lyon had a massive injury crisis, have sacked their manager and the whole team wasn't playing well. Lots of reasons why his form has problaby suffered. With that being said he should have done better, since he was one of their best players last season. If we would get him for 15 to 20m, it would be a decent signing.
What the hell we signing him for? He's had 1 good season and he's 25.
As a January signing. He's still better than Rooney. He shouldn't be first choice, but we definitely need some players up front.
Worth a punt at the right price surely.
He has been average this season. If Kane is sold, he could be a good player for Tottenham. Or maybe Arsenal can be an option for him.

The same stuff is in the local Newcastle press too. Sometimes they are way off the mark (a very poor relationship with Mike Ashley meant they spent about 2 years with no access to any stories at all, not even press conferences), but they predicted the three purchases for NUFC this window, so maybe have better sources now.

Why not to Newcastle? What's to say that he's any better than Vardy or Austin who've got similar goal numbers but in the PL? Newcastle have bought supposedly highly rated players from France before. Somehow I feel that if he honestly were all that he'd be bought by now. United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and many more clubs could all buy a striker but no one is being even made up linked by the press.
I just finished a season in FM with United. He was my only purchase at 20m with a 4* potential. After the season, which was an okay season for him, he had reached his full potential at 2,5*. This has led me to believe the above about him and I dare you argue differently.

I would be surprised, Lacazette prefers the brand of football played at Lyon and Leicester is still a step down. It would have to be very serious money.
Aulas will surely try to keep him 1 or 2 more years as I don't see another 20 goals a season striker joining OL. Other profiles are easier to replace.

He is from Lyon, they play CL football and they pay good wages. Leicester might win the PL this year but there is no guarantee that they outperform City, Chelsea, United or Arsenal next year.
PL's going to be the place to be next year mate, everyone gonna want to be a part.
They are English champions in the most widely watched and richest league in the world. I would much rather play for them then rotting in 2nd/3rd position in a second rate league with zero chance of silverware.

Not many players will fight to play for a one season wonder expected to quickly drop in midtable of EPL from a city no foreigner could place on a map and still better known for its rugby club if they have other options.

Its a good thing Leicester play some of the best attacking football in the entire league then. Like I said, there is more chance of Leicester retaining their position then Lyon achieving anything. If no top teams go in for him (Cant see them doing so myself) then Leicester will become more and more appealing.
You base your Leicester projection on nothing, if they confirm next season they will be an attractive destination but until then they are not.

Not really true though, they actually play the best football in the league and they have no problem playing with the ball if they are forced to, there were teams this season who tried to surrender possession against them but it ended the same way, usually.
Winning the league once doesn't make you an extremely attractive destination, Leicester will have to repeat it before someone like Lacazette look at them like an upgrade on Lyon, Lacazette didn't pushed for a move to PSG, so why would he push for a move to Leicester?

I also don't really share you idea that Lyon are an attractive club to play for. Take a play both Lyon and Leicester are trying to sign. Who does that player choose? 9/10 its Leicester. That's going to be even more prominent with CL football and a potential title on the way.
