Then signing Telles is more than necessary to keep Shaw fit.Maybe if hes not expected to play every game he might stay fit. He was ran into the ground last season and eventually broke.

Signing a pretty average LB when we have Shaw as 1st choice and Williams/Dalot/TFM as back up seems a bit odd to me at this stage in the window.
We need to finalise Sancho, or do something for the RW. We need a CB. We need to replace Ighalo. We need to sell a whole bunch of players.
Telles, whenever i have seen him looks average. He will admittedly be better than Williams but he's not what we need to focus on right now.
With his contract ending soon - 23mil seems pricey. But we'll probably pay it cos we are the biggest joke in transfers in world football

All Portuguese sources are bad sources , ex. Gaitan. Are they the good source or the shite one, I can never remember.

Everything I know about Telles comes from this thread. Which rightly or wrongly gives me the indication that he's a wingback more than a fullback.
With this in mind, I think a 3-5-2 would almost work if Telles signs up. But it'd leave a doubt in my mind about Williams/AWB doing the job on the opposite flank.
It's a situation of 'buy two wingbacks or don't buy any'. Only buying Telles wouldn't be enough (unless Ole's putting all his faith in Laird).
O Jogo are meant to be more reliable. Before the Telles news was coming A Bola. Are they the good source or the shite one, I can never remember.

You've spun this some mad way.
23mil is a decent price for a talented attacking LB in his prime. We need an attacking LB. Big time.
If we get an attacking LB and a good RW both sides will be MUCH stronger, particularly important against teams playing the low block.

brief!
Lockdown mk2 is doing things to the man I reckon!Stat man is looking terrible. Hope he’s ok!

Some mad way?
Sorry im concerned about the state of our disjointed squad.
Telles may step up and be a good signing, my point is we are desperate for a RW, a CB and a Striker. They should all come before Telles.
He doesnt look that good either - which is a worry
What you've just mentioned has nothing to do with your mad spin.
Claiming only our board would be stupid enough to pay 23mil for him? He's worth 23mil.
And I dont agree that we need a CF before an attacking fullback.
And you wont get a CB or RW for 23mil.
Telles has months left on his contract and he's worth more than what Liverpool paid for Thiago, an actual world class player.
We are over paying in my opinion yes.

Which seasoned Brazilians have we bought?Brazilians never do well at UTD. Only Raphael was good, but he was young and impressionable.
The Guardian and Record articles were published before Arthur Quezada published his report. What's interested is that Quezada confirms what Jamie Jackson pointed out about our fee. The reason why this is taking longer than expected is because of the intermediaries working on the transfer: Pini Zahavi (Telles' representative and my guess: representing us) and Jorge Mendes (my guess: representing Porto).
Remember the Koulibaly-to-City saga; that's been dragged on because the player's agent is representing 3 parties. Here, we have agents doing the work for the clubs with Pini Zahavi representing two parties (Telles and us) and Mendes representing Porto. Because of this, Quezada mentioned that Porto have yet to receive an offer from the club.

Alex Telles I believe will be an obvious upgrade on the left back position for United. He is a very capable defender and is a threat on the offensive end as well both with his good set piece taking ability, crossing, and shooting. He will help solidify your defense for sure,
Telles has been the best left back in the league every season he was at Porto IMO and I think most followers of the leagues opinion. Based on the fact Porto are in financial troubles I have no doubt United got him for a good fee which makes this a no brainer. Telles also has mileage on his legs as by this stage in his career he is experienced for a championship winning team and CL constant.
All in all solid pickup for Manchester United. Will be be a "world class" left back? at 27 already I would say no but I think at the moment he is a starter in this United team and helps improve the team.
Hope this helps mate!
Not the point. Whoever we have bought from Brazil haven't worked out.Which seasoned Brazilians have we bought?
Don't really have a big same to choose from do we? Outside of Fred all of the signings mainly teenagers for academy really. Anderson I guess went into the first team but we got him at 19.Not the point. Whoever we have bought from Brazil haven't worked out.
I notice, unless South Americans grow up here (Raphael) or have played a few seasons in the EPL already, they never settle and kick on.
Just an observation.

Didn't really work out for (he that I shall not name) who ran to PSG. I know he's not Brazilian, but close enough.Don't really have a big same to choose from do we? A seasoned Brazilian may well work out fine.
Took a while to kick on. We don't have time to baby sit.Fred was a solid 7/10 last season for us.
No it isn't. Just a feeling.. It's not just Brazilians but south Americans in general.3 players isn't a particularly useful sample size to be fair.
Are we still agreeing to agree on a potential idea to agree on an agreed upon price so we only have 10 more steps to go before the window shuts?
Exactly what I was thinkingThat is what the stress of a Utd transfer window does to you
The reason this transfer's taking so long is because both Porto and United are negotiating via intermediaries. They are: Pini Zahavi (Telles' agent) and Jorge Mendes ().
