Alex Sandro

He'll go to PSG and once again we'll be asking the question why we didn't sign a player who would've obviously improved us.

I think if/when Darmian Brexits this one may resurrect, but not before.

If we could get Sandro i would be more than happy with our signings since i feel that LB (Sandro) and CM/B2B type player (Fred) is what we are crying out for, RB also but i have faith in Dalot.

This makes too much sense but we know feck all what United are doing behind the scenes but the lack of reports are worrying...

Ashley Young it is then. I was already prepared for a top 4 battle anyway.

....I'd be surprised if we were in for Sandro now, with only a few weeks left of the window if we wanted him I think we'd have made our move a while ago.

I think that can be said of any player not appearing at the World Cup.
Deals would already have been concluded if they were going to happen, as there would not have been the difficulties of trying to negotiate with a player away on International duties.

If we've given up on Shaw then we obviously need a LB. I've never really rated Sandro, though, so I'm not too fussed on missing out on him.

If Sandro costs too much then Why can’t we just sign telles, if he’s good enough for Juve he’s good enough for us.

Who do you rate?
At LB? I can't think of any that I think are very good and are obtainable. I like Grimaldo of Benfica off the top of my head. Then again, I've never denied that I'm not the best judge of defenders so I'm not stating my opinion on him as fact. All I know is that whenever I watched Juve, he never looked that good despite all the hype, and I'm not surprised to see that Juve are willing to sell him.

Yes, at LB. He's simply the best player available in that position. It's not really hype. I don't think anybody is saying he's Marcelo or Jordi Alba.

I don't think they are either, but I never agreed with the general rating of him being a very good player. He's always appeared quite average to me, and I'm not basing it off the odd CL game - I see quite a bit of them in Serie A.

Still, I'm not saying we shouldn't sign him as we're in need of a LB and I could well be wrong about him. I'm just not too fussed on if we miss out on him is all.

Well, since I think he's a good players, let's agree to disagree.

Apparently Real Madrid and Juventus are interested in Alex Telles from Porto. If the informations in the media are reliable his release clause is €40 mi euros. Maybe would be a cheaper/better alternative.

Telles is very good, release clause of 40 million and he’d be an instant upgrade on Young. With the lack of great left backs on the market I’m surprised noone has come in for him yet. He failed at Galatasaray so I can understand why clubs would be wary but he’s definitely too good for Porto.

They are probably trying to find a replacement before they sell him.

I don't see why they would be, unless Marcelo is genuinely leaving.

Marcelo is 30 and always had some injury issues during the seasons. Telles is 25. Could be a rotation player there if the link is true. I read it in papers from Portugal.

Seems many posters do not consider the player's desire or choice or options on the table. Every player should just run to put on the United shirt (oh how I wish that were true with all the players).

If in Sandro's shoes I'd go to PSG over United right now and I'm a United fan.

Definitely, with a fan base like ours who the feck would want to play for a bunch of whingers?

It's not that. We're probably not going to challenge this year. If I'm 27 years old I want to be winning league titles and hopefully a Champions League. To do both of those things while living in Europes best City, playing alongside Mbappe, while also being able to kick the sh1t out of neymar in training?... No brainer.

I've been to at least 15 better and I've only been to 25 European countries.

So you prefer playing alongside Mbappe and Neymar rather then Lingard and Rashford? Unbelievable

'Only' been to 25 out of 44 countries?

Paris is my favourite European City. Hell, its my favourite City, period. (Sydney is a close second but it's full of Australians). Excuse my bias, but it's absolutely top 10 in the world.

I'll take that list of 15 European Cities that are better. Just for fun. Shoot.

You could argue. But you can't argue when my comment revolved around why you'd choose Paris over Manchester.
