Obviously this is in jest but you're right. Garnacho won't be with us by the time he turns 24.
You reckon we'd get rid ?
I have seen talented players and he is not good enough to play for Real madrid or Barca.
He can go anywhere he fecking wants, Greenwood had more talent in his right boot than this guy did

because he was an absolute liability? Did you not watch? He was all over the shop first half, their left back had him on toast and all of their biggest problems were coming down that side where he left Dalot horribly exposed.

I called for it in the match thread that he had to be removed. He’s had a great season, but he had a mare today.

And other players weren't in the first half?

Get given a break in the first team as a teenager (plenty of clubs wouldn’t), all the wealth and fame and acclaim that goes with it, take the managers praise when play well …. and that’s fine?

Get a bit of a telling off because you played poorly and impacted the team (not alone I know)… and ‘like’ a tweet of that complete and utter w@nker, Goldbridge?

What a dick. Either stupid or has someone giving him REALLY poor advice.

He didn’t put in the work rate as he always did today. It’s weird. Don’t know what happened.

I am a massive fan of Garnacho, the boy has the world at his feet and could go to the very, very top, but his performance today was an absolute disgrace. From the first minute he looked petulant and unwilling to track his man. Bournemouth figured it out pretty quick too and exploited our right hand side at-will. For the first goal, he lost the ball and literally stood still. Simply unacceptable. If this is his attitude then he should be benched for the next few games at least. If it continues to happen, then we should move him on.

Manager said he had not trained this week e.g he had been injured

He would be starting for their B team. Garnacho wouldnt be a starter for a club that is competing for titles.

I was going to say out on loan for a lower-half La Liga side, but you're right, they don't really seem to loan 19 year olds, though maybe he'd be a special case.

He has to work on his passing and reliability in possession. How much would we trust him to pick a the right final ball? Feels like he hasn’t really developed a proper pass with the right weight, till now.

He has made strides this season in terms of his work rate and reliability on the ball, but there’s still a lot to do. Given that we are generally crap at passing, its vital that the young players we are developing don’t add to the problem.

He's been played into the ground. Needs a break. I'd give him and Mainoo the next couple weeks off. Get them back in time for the cup final if we make it. Our future is more important than ETHs short term nonsense. If we can't beat Coventry without two teenagers then...

Hooking Garnacho off and leaving Rashford on was a shambles, but this isn't good, especially coming from a youth player. Seems like a small thing, but he must know it will be picked up by the media and blown wide out of proportion. Same for his brother, if that really is him. It is irresponsible and unbecoming. It is unprofessional. And it's not like Ten Hag said it with malice. It was a simple statement of facts - he was bad in that first half. Even a simple statement is throwing players under the bus now? Ridiculous!

This club is totally rotten.

We play one game a week? And Mainoo regularly comes off after 65 minutes - I also fail to see how developing very raw teenagers as we have done for much of this season is “short term nonsense”. And the issue isn’t his performance in that first 45 minutes which was downright abject - it is the entitled attitude to him being taken off which is being perpetuated by dick head fan boys like Goldbridge et al. If he thinks he’s entitled to play every minute of every game for Manchester United regardless of performances because he’s scored an incredible 8 goals in 36 games this season then boy is he in for a rude awakening. I’m getting very tired of the attitude that has stenched this club the last decade where players seem to think they’re doing us a favour by being here.

He's been playing right wing lately so it was only a matter of time before he got himself into some kind of trouble.

He's played 41 games this season. Physically he looks shot. Developing these two is probably the best thing ETH has done but lately it seems he is relying on them too much. Like you say Mainoo gets taken off because he isn't physically ready yet, i don't want these kids to suffer long term to get ETH a few more meaningless wins.

Your other point about the entitlement and attitude I agree with. This is where you need leaders in the locker room and a coach that commands respect. Unfortunately even our senior players don't really show great attitude.

He has been shit for the last 3 games and today was the absolute worst by far. For the solanke goal, what the feck is that trampoline foot? Literally everything came down his side, so not sure what he's complaining about. Rightfully hooked.

Spot on.

He and Willy were by far the worst.

I would say it was only more noticeable because his standards have been so much higher than virtually every other player this season, and his mistake lead to their opening goal, but that was very unlucky on him and Kambwla, we could equally have been punished by other players mistakes.

The usual suspects were as shocking as ever, but it was Garnacho who got hooked the second his standards drop, so if I was him I'd have been miffed as well.

What are you talking about? It had nothing to do with his standards, just because he’s had a good season doesn’t excuse an absolute shitshow. Their left back was causing us absolute chaos all half, looked the best player on the pitch and we were getting absolutely annihilated down that right hand side for 45 minutes. They could’ve scored 4 goals from there and we had to make a change there, absolutely no question it was our biggest problem area by far.

If he was miffed at being subbed after that performance he’s braindead and needs to check himself and his ego.

He's also been massively overplayed by ETH, ideally would have been impact sub and occasional starter this season. But Antony is so bad he has to play Garnacho every week.

Stick Garnacho where Rashford was playing then, and sub him instead, he's consistantly offered more than him all season, and I'd very much doubt Garnacho would have offered less than he did in the second half either.

That’s just irrational. He was shit, wasn’t working back (Rashford was) and his poor workrate couldn’t be excused and caused us constant problems, he rightfully got subbed.
If he couldn’t put in the basic and actually work back on the right, why would he do it on the left? He was clearly not at it.

Another one who thinks he is a megastar before actually doing anything noteworthy. Scores a few goals in a Man Utd shirt and suddenly thinks he is gold.

We are not guiding young players properly.

Our fans don’t help, you’ve literally got fans in here declaring they understand him being miffed about being subbed after that shitshow yesterday.

He’s a young lad who’s done nothing in the game, if he can’t do the bare minimum and work and has a horror show like yesterday, he needs to be shown it won’t be accepted.

He’s been great, but he’s often way below the other wings in his passing stats so he’s another part of the problem of maintaining quality possession, and he all too often gives away balls in dangerous positions. Like the other wing though, he’s often selected over a better possession option due to the danger he causes especially in transition.

There’s no single wing or single position problem in this team, there are multiple problems all over the park and every single player and the manager/system needs to be much improved if we’re gonna become a top side again. That includes Garnacho.

yes this is true, agree with all you say.
The team needs two CBs who can push high for much of this system to work.
Then it is lopsided in terms of effort levels and effectiveness.

Everyone in this forward line should be thankful whenever they start a game. Not one of them is good enough to start for anyone else in the top 8 this season.

He basically shouldn't be playing if rashford is the other winger and vice versa. Both give away possession cheaply. Amad and Antony add balance in that regard, so one of those should play with either of the other.

I think he'll move on because he's going to be good enough to play for anyone he wants.
You are entitled to your opinion but for me, he wont. He is just not that good but the reality will dawn on people in a season or two

Agreed. We already have too many careless players with the ball and a forward who loses it too often too. We can’t afford to have both wingers doing it although we certainly need one else we’ll never create anything.

Which United players with plus 20 league games this season do you think is good enough to start regularily for Brighton, Newcastle, Villa or Spurs?

And other players weren't in the first half?
Actually not like Alejandro, no. His weakest game this season. Other players made some mistakes, did some Ok stuff in that first half, but he consistently made botj small and big mistakes, and concentration seemed off as well.

He’s played a lot for a 19 years old, having these kinds of game is just normal at that age. Part of the stuninng thing with Alejandro for his age, is how seldom he had completely off games. Even when he’s had bad hair days, he is often involved in several dangerous attacks and does his bit defensively. Yesterday was an exception, and I for one wanted him replaced at half time, even if Amad is not yet the revolutionary player we all hope he’ll develop into.

Garnacho

I feel for him being criticised, he's dragged us out of shit this season and been one of our few consistent performers, but once again- players need to stop this shit on social media. Even when they're right, this only hurts the club, the supporters and ultimately teammates. Get your agent, if you need to, and deal with it face to face. Its embarrassing and any employee in any workplace if treated unfairly by their boss, took their shit to social media, would also be embarrassing.

Not to mention he's liking a guy who absolutely destroys his teammates on a regular basis.

This is one where I don't blame Garnacho and as a young lad would have probably done the same. Look at it from his perspective:

  1. A young player who has dragged us out the mud numerous times this season.
  2. Full of energy and always putting in effort.
  3. Not causing shakes in the media.
  4. Playing alongside numerous players on massive wages and never performing, but still being protected.

ETH see's Garnacho as an easy target, yet Rashford, Bruno, Casimero he is terrified of.

Brighton isn't in the top 8 but Garnacho wouldn't start for them at full strength either.

From the rest of the team, it's Fernandes, Mainoo, and Dalot. Onana for a couple of them, Maguire and McTominay for WHU. None from the forward line.
