Chooses good times to score as well doesn't he? Winner against Sociedad, winner against Fulham, 2-0 goal to close out the Leeds game and winner tonight. Add the assist for the winning goal against City to the mix, and he's made a real difference this season.

Hope we can lock him down.

His best and most visible attribute is he trusts his own abilities.

He knows he's better than alot of players, he knows he can out-sprint anyone, he knows he can dribble anyone so even if it doesn't come out first time he will do it again and again until it comes through.

When he will reach the peak of his powers he will be a ballon d'or player category.

Can we sign more of these young South American lads while they're still kids before making their name in Europe?

More often than not they've got great mentality and hunger to win along with being scrappy hard workers. Not too much can break their desire on the pitch seemingly

Garnacho was born in Madrid and came through Atletico's academy til we grabbed him

I know he was born there but the way he plays and his attitude is much more in line with his maternal heritage. It's no wonder that's who he'll represent at the international level

Yeah he clearly loves Argentina even though he never lived there. His mother did a good job.

The best thing about him is that he looked very bad in the 1st half, then brilliant in the 2nd. Normally if a player looks bad from the start then it's not his day. The kid's mentality is

Very good game.

Still very raw, sloppy passing at times & his defensive awareness is really poor (compared with Antony & Rashford). Not sure I’d risk him in a big game where it’s evenly matched. Anyone where we are firm favourites, I’d start handing more starts out

We look to have another gem. A bit of polish & we’ll have a fantastic asset in our squad

I think we are collectively taking for granted he’ll score these goals and be so mature but it’s not usual for someone of his age. He is way ahead of where he should be
He will have some dips maybe for 3-6 months but he is going to be a superstar, guaranteed

I'm actually somewhat disappointed with his goal return so far, compared to what Rashford and Greenwood were doing at his age anyway. He's definitely more raw than both of them were

When he puts on some size he’ll be so hard to stop in full flight
At the minute defenders do seem to get the better of the shoulder to shoulders
To be expected at his age

Seems like such a small thing to say but ETH has obviously noticed his impact or lack thereof from his games when starting. The fact he then played him the whole game speaks a lot about ETH's coaching details. Hopefully he's doing that with Sancho and can get a response/raise his level also.

Although not perfect, I thought he was our best player in the first half, whilst the entire team was sloppy.

He really does remind me of young Cristiano in a sense of how tenacious he is with trying to make things happen.
He can fail time and time again but he just keeps on going.
Better output and decision making than young Cristiano as well at that age.
If he goes to have a career half as good as Ronaldo I’ll be delighted.

I wouldn’t start him at Anfield, although the prospect of him running at Trent is exciting, they’ll just overload our left side with Trent and Salah.
Can definitely see him making an impact off the bench.

Lad cost us £420,000, whoever scouted him deserves a raise.

A constant threat. He scares defenders.

He is raw. Once he refines his skills and gets more experience, the game will start to slow for him and his decision making will get better.

He has to be, with Camavinga, the most exciting 18 year old in football.

His goal was excellent and shows the self-confidence that he has, and he's only 18.

But, apart from this I thought he was very poor. Didn't put the ball into the box on umpteen occasions when he had the opportunity. Any crosses he made were poor.

What am I missing.

Yes, the goal was excellent but before that I was wanting him to be subbed.

Miles better in that second half. I still maintain he's super raw and better off the bench, but for now I'm just glad he's come on so strong as we'd be fecked depth wise if he hadn't this year.

World class goal too
Which really surprised me. His first proper 90 minute performance. Agree; still better off the bench, but him seeing out a full 90 and improving as the game went on could have pivotal implications from this point onward.

He's also shown tonight he has the engine for a full, adult match, so it's his focus and switching on that mostly needs to be worked on.

Can see him being trusted a bit more off the back of tonight.

Agreed 100%

And at some point, not right now, but we're gonna have to have a conversation about those eyebrows!

And we should never forget, however momentarily elated by his goals we are, to remind ourselves that he has full length arm tattoo of the middling 2005 TV show Prison Break… a show that came out a mere one year after he was born.

must be a nightmare to defend against, he just doesn’t stop going at defenders

seems equally happy going inside or outside too, so he has that unpredictability

He's an actual winger! It's been too long.

Incredibly raw an inconsistent, but you can't put a price on tirelessly running at defenders and forcing double-teams. Creates space for others, now just needs to find out how to use them.

Would like to see him start with Shaw at some point, who is alot more consistent in how he supports his winger.

Getting a tattoo of multiple cast characters on a mediocre (fun first season but not like great or anything) show, including a pedophile, is truly something. I give that part of the tattoo 18 months over/under before it's replaced/changed.

Someone already replied clarifying he's never lived in Argentina, speaks spanish like anyone in Spain and thus he's really a player born and raised in Spain/Europe. He seems to have chosen to play for Argentina but he could still play for Spain if he wanted to.

Think it was the case of the 1st half being like body blows. And halfway into the 2nd half, the WH's RB was just knackered both physically and mentally. Thats why he has an impact.

I am still concerned when he starts because he does switch off defensively or during momentary lapses and allows the attacker to cut in. Happened a few times now in the last couple of starts.

Absolutely love that he had the metal to raise his performance in the second half. Not something to take for granted with such a young player.

Spot on, I'll always maintain that the variety he has to his game is so valuable. He can cut inside and cross/pass/shoot just as he can go outside and cross/pass. We need to be patient and just wait for him to grow into his body because right now that's his main issue, the physicality. Once that improves, we'll have a top top player in our team

Just hope he keeps level headed and focused when he signs the new big money contract. If so he's got a very bright future here

Yeah especially how he used to be the size of a bonsai tree in La Liga Promises

There is no doubt of Garnacho's talent but we started to see more of the player Ten Hag wants him to be. There were occasions when he was as tenacious in defence ,nicking ball of west ham, as he was in attack. There were good signs last night that he is working hard for the team as well as he own chances. All in all delighted. How good can he be ? as good as he wants to be, in my opinion.
