Alas poor Carrick...WTF has happened?

Just looking through the files I have from last season (every game), and my word... this guy's passing is underrated. It's amazing how simplicity doesn't arouse the mind, yet it's a complicated concept to identify and appreciate on the pitch and way more beneficiary than many think. A Carrick video (best passes 2012/2012) is on its way. Just make sure you lot are ready because this is something beautiful.

Can you make sure to explain these complicated concepts by annotating these passes with a couple of sentences about why they're useful? I find I just see myself staring thoughtlessly at this ball flying back and forth until someone explains the point of each and every pass. You're very good at that, MoneyMay.

Ah, Brwned, still annoyed and bitter that your argument was weak down in the newbie forum. My Carrick video was aimed at those who don't understand his role. Since you clearly don't know what analysis means, here's a definition: Detailed examination of the elements or structure of something, typically as a basis for discussion or interpretation. Or here's another one: The process of separating something into its constituent elements. If you follow me on Twitter (I hope not), you would understand that it was specifically made for those who says he's average, thus it had to be put in simple terms, as I didn't want to spend a lot of time on it. And actually, the shifting of the body, the thing that Carrick does so well, often eludes many (you included). Even you as an old man, looking for love, will love this video.

Brwnd is actually a very young man, and is one of the best football posters on the site.

I know. He's a great poster, but he seems very bitter towards the Carrick video I made. I suppose you can't please everyone.

All adds to the fun of debating.

Having read Brwnd's posts for years, he is not at all bitter towards Carrick, or any United footballer.

You still think you can "win" arguments, don't you? Yes, I understand the purpose of the video and I understand the purpose of the annotations. The point is if you just provided those clips without the annotations you would have been illustrating some of the less noticeable parts of Carrick's game to these people anyway. These less noticeable parts are not difficult to understand, they just get glossed over in the majority of games because of the pace of the game and the more exciting aspects that people prefer to focus their attention on. Adding the annotations makes it seem like these aspects you highlighted are somehow difficult to spot and appreciate and it gives the impression that you treat your viewers as being somehow on a lower level of understanding to you. And all of this builds up to create the impression that you consider football to be a much more complex game than it really is. Simple. Could you post the video on here?

I'm looking for a decent song. Any good instrumentals out there that you guys would prefer?

Just off the top of my head the 2 games that stand out to me but will probably go under the radar is the Swansea away and Norwich home games. Remember some ridiculous passes in those 2

How about 'Learning to Fly' by Joe Satriani?

Will have a listen.

Agreed. I remember him getting a pre-assist in the Norwich game - when he made a fantastic pass to Rooney who set up Kagawa. He was very good vs. Manchester City away, too.

I watched a video of Busquets, claiming him as genius, where his every pass was noted with flowery statement. He may or may not mean every pass as the videomaker stated, but I doubt that every pass Busquets made was based on a foresight 2-3 steps ahead.

I think it's the same with Carrick, as he's not our primary playmaker.

He kinda is though...

I like this MoneyMay but show us what we're all dying to see, a lot of pressure on your video now.

Im looking for a decent Carrick video explaining his passes to simpletons, you know of any?

Some of his passes vs. Real Madrid (away) were sublime. You'll like the video, but song choice is annoying. If I get it wrong, I will become a flop. I need to live up to my potential.

Post the mother fecking video!

Something about a Carrick video? Can somebody please create one, then speculate what the official theme tune will be?

Just quote that guy so he gets the message.

It's being made, apologies Genius Me! - I love you, too. Hopefully, it will be posted later on - I need to render it, mate.

This video absolutely needs it's own thread.

In fact, we should have a Premiere... Red Carpet and everything, a Q&A with the director, and Brwned can introduce it.
