He's not done anything spectacular recently but his maturity on the ball is wonderful. When he picks up the ball deep there is such a marked difference between his movement and say Rooney's or Kagawa's. Januzaj is always looking to move to the ball he's just passed or create space, I also loved how he made a run from deep and tried to inject some impetus into us when the crowd started getting frustrated in the First Half. The boy is an absolute gem, if he was physically ready I'd legitimately consider popping him in centre-midfield, can't be worse than Giggs!

Not to get ahead of ourselves or anything, but this just looks like Ronaldo when he was 18: not perfect by any stretch, but you can see there was a wealth of potential there. If he takes the right path of development, he will most certainly be up there with the best in the world, he really does look that special.

He has looked like one of our few players in recent games that have gave a feck. Very often he drops incredibly deep or ventures over to the other side of the pitch, just to provide an option from a teammate, he's fully aware of the static movement in the side and probably knows he has to take on more responsibility - although he really shouldn't be burdened by it.

He is so fearless you are right and has so mature despite his age. You compare him to Barkley and as good as Barkley is, he has a tendency for poor decision-making and can be quite raw of that. Januzaj can be guilty of that and was quite a few times tonight, but generally he shows great composure, movement and awareness of what's happening around him.

I didn't really initially buy into the massive hype he had at first, maybe I've grown a bit despondent at our inability to keep hold of promising young players like Morrison and Pogba in recent years and I hadn't seen much of him prior to this season. I was wrong however, he can be exceptional.

Well thats nonsense for starters......

Morrison was a decision we 100% made ourselves. Not sure why or how fans can think any different at this stage.

Yeah I don't want to get carried away, but he's definitely going to be the best player to ever play the game.

Talk about underrating the kid. Ffs he's going to be so much better than that.

This place is going to go into meltdown when he scores a screamer. He has it in his locker. When that day happens, the laundromat will be busy

I actually liked that moyes played him on the right against Newcastle instead of the left. Always liked watching a left footed playmaker type cut in and deliver splitting passes through the defense rather than running to the byline to cross.

it also makes it harder to defend him...he can receive passes on the half turn and because he's left-footed he can protect the ball much easier while still driving at the opposition

mmmmmmmmm i wanna say dribble from midfield and a piledriver into the top corner coming from the right wing. He's been close but because of the dribble, it would add that extra bit of spice

when he scored that volley it was like WOW! This kid is good! But imagine if he scores a screamer again! The hype will reach new levels!

I think a lot of the media hype has calmed nicely thanks to Moyes clever use of Adnan. Surely the temptation has to be there to play him every game but he's managed to hold him back nicely once things were getting out of hand.

Mmmm I'm imagining it, I can't wait. It's going to be crazy and the caf will never be the same again.

Surprised how he didn't get red card for that.

What I like the most about him is his attitude. It feels lime he's been a first team player for 5 years. I like it when he decides to roam from his position, drop deep and demands the ball. He takes responsibility and that's fantastic to see in a young player regardless of his performance. If we nurture him right, he will be a top top player.

What I like is, he'll play in the CL for us one week, and next week play for the youth/reserves and not only not bitch, but put on a stellar showing there like it matters just as much.

He didn't even get a foul for that, did he?
Commentator said he was far enough away from the other lads head.

I know it's being incredibly impatient but I would love for him to score more goals, he has an amazing talent and by the looks of things a good technique for shooting the ball. It must be hard for Moyes not to play in every match as he is still very young. I have no doubt he'll get there.

Except he won't. Because he's not in the u21s anymore and barring any injury I doubt we'll see him play for them again.

I don't think some of you get it, or I don't get it.

Plays like a throwback. Drops his shoulder and breezes past defenders. Has a good shot on him too and he reminds me a lot of a young Steve Coppell.

I remember our last tough re-building stage, around 2003-2005. We had baby Rooney and baby Ronaldo in the team and our team seemed to improve and mature at the same rate they did. I think we're definitely in a similar position now and I think this current squad is going to mature with the likes of Januzaj.

The beginning few words read like the opening to a rap song

Your Nani reference raised the question of whether or not it was 'foot up', which is debatable looking at that GIF. That's all.

Yeah, but I was joking, that's not dangerous play even by CL standards.

He's having to pick the ball up in very deep areas and he's also supplying the best passes.. I don't think we'll see consistent goal-scoring until this side is fixed.

Imagine how good he'd be if he bulked up.

Just posted on the united twitter:

"Adnan tells MUFC if he could play for United his entire career he would"

feck, he's off to Madrid in the summer...
