Adnan Januzaj | Exit Speculation

@Fracture90 was convinced we'd be able to get close to Depay money for him but in fairness, the majority of posters in that "Play, Loan or Sell" thread called it, no chance we'd be getting over 10m for someone who has been done absolutely nothing in years.

Happy with the quoted fee, think Sociedad might even regret paying that much.

Can't really remember how much I said we'd get. Was it between 10-20 or 15-20 million?

Jose is doing a good job refining the squad and clearing out the dead wood. Best of luck to Adnan but he was never good enough for us.

I can't fully recall actually, just remember a little debate about the chances of him fetching over 10m.

All things considered now though, we should be happy with that reported fee right? With a Michael Keane style sell on clause added of course.

I really thought one of them newly promoted sods would take a gamble on him. He's shown glimpses of his talent and he's still very young, all that plus the financial power of EPL clubs, it wasn't that hard to imagine it.

Guess so.

10m is a decent fee all things considered.
Considering Iheanacho will be sold for 25 million, Januzaj is miles ahead of him in terms of talent, so about decent, I'm not so sure.

Hope he will get his career back on track, and we leave a first option clause in this sale, because I really believe in him.

Bye bye Mr Januzaj
Every devil, like Gaz Neville, said you were gonna be fly
But most of the time, it seemed you just didn't try
So now you're following the Moyes way to die
Following the Moyes way to die.

Bye bye, hope we have a buy back just in case he wakes up and utilizes his talent.

Iheanacho is a better player.

Should have worked harder at Dortmund. That was a once is a lifetime great opportunity for him.

Is Januzaj leaving to become a painter a decorator? Just wondering how else he'll reach that really high ceiling that was talked about so effusively a while back...

:smirk:

And the last successful product of Liverpool's corrupt youth academy is...

:smirk:

Pogba, Lingard and Rashford say hiiiiiii

Kelechi Iheanacho has the best goals-per-minute record in Premier League history I think.

But yeah Adnan, who has like 5 goals/assists in his entire PL career is "miles" ahead of him. Those first few Moyes months really did a number on some of our fans.

Not even "ahead of him" but "miles ahead of him". Seriously

£10m is a really good fee for him, under Moyes or LVG we would have let him go for peanuts.

 Songs for players who didn't make it. I like it.

To the tune of 3 Lions on my shirt:

He's going home, He's going home
He's going. Bellion's going home
He's going home, He's going home
He's going. Bellion's going home

My original nick here wws januzajmania, somehow i was working thru the old "10 likes to the newbie promotion system" and got banned for whatever reason i dont remember. 10/10 will get banned with the same nick again.

Interesting destination should it happen with La Real & Eusebio, he showed a lot of promise & skill the few times I have seen him but his development has suffered - how much of that is on him, where/how he was played etc. or some combo unclear. Best of luck

I swear he is looking more and more like a young/footballing Pete Doherty. Though in fairness PD was pretty decent, had trials at QPR.

It was well known Adnan was for sale so all sorts of clubs had their chance to bid for him. Given that it seems very few stepped up to actually bid on him, silly to suggest we should have gotten more for him.

Sterling. He was the one who had a lower ceiling apparently...
He wasn't really "produced" by Liverpool. He's more a QPR product than Liverpool's.

But it's sad to see how his career turned out. Sunderland fans never rated him at all and we're happy to see him dropped towards the end of the season.

I hope Spain turns out better for him than it did Moyes.

Got caned for saying he was shite. Still think he's shite, and will continue to be shite.
