Taraabt has confirmed this week his much-publicised move to Paris Saint-Germain has almost been agreed but admitted he wouldn’t be too distraught if the deal collapsed.
‘We are very close but if no deal is done I will play for QPR in the Premier League,’ the 22-year-old said.
Warnock, meanwhile, is less optimistic about the outcome of any potential deal.
‘I am hoping things break down if I’m honest, but I think if they come up with the money then I am sure he’ll be on his bike,’ the QPR manager said.
‘I don’t think I’ll be getting any of the money. I think we have just got to look for Bosmans, loans etc.’
QPR had been linked with a move for unwanted Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton this summer, but given Warnock’s latest admission, the England player may have to look elsewhere for regular football after his current contract at St James’ Park expires.
