Adel Taarabt

If anyone can turn this lad into a team player then it's SAF. Would be a bit concerned for Cleverley though if there's any truth in this, I really want to see him get a decent chance.

Cleverley's position well eventually be in the middle.

I remember his Spurs days. What a comic player! His football IQ is lower than Nani's.

Think Taarabt's may be too...but initially don't you think both would be more likely to get chances on the left?

So many attitude problems with him. He had so much potential when playing for Lens, but even if he seems to have gone a little more quiet on this side, still doubtful about his behaviour. If we go for him, let's hope he'll do his best to get rid of his "dark side". I had never seen so much disrespect and foolness as with Taarabt in his youth days at Lens.

He would do well to get to even Quaresma's level, but i reckon he won't. He's probably worse than Gabriel Obertan

Judging by his comments he is both immature and arrogant.

He's very raw but the talent is there in abundance. I'd be happy to have him.

this.

as for all the comments about his arrogance, I sometimes miss us having a bit of that since Ronaldo left.

Also the kids 21 and captain of QPR, he's surely cut back a bit on the twatishniss

he Moroccan playmaker recently claimed United were keeping tabs on his progress at Loftus Road.

Former Tottenham man Taarabt has been in scintillating form for QPR this season, helping them to the top of the Championship.

Warnock claims United came to watch Taarabt during last weekend's goalless draw at Hull City when the skilful attacker showed his moody side as he bickered with his team-mates and asked to be substituted during the first half of the game.

Rangers chief Warnock has warned Taarabt he may have blown his chance of a move to United and he is delighted as it means he will end up staying at Loftus Road.

"He let himself down on Saturday," said Warnock.

"United came to watch him and he had a strop. I said on the bus that's done that, hasn't it?

"He can forget about joining United. I'm delighted because it means we've no chance of losing him now."

He is extremely talented but seriously he needs to improve his attitude to have a chance to make it at the top level.

I think I'd have a strop if Warnock was my manager....

Seriously though...developing a players attitude for the better is bread and butter for SAF and the staff.

Do any of you that suggest we buy this lad actually watch the championship? Surprised at the attention hes getting in terms of being a United target

Is this a joke?

He's ripping the Championship a new one.

Still don't think we should take a punt on him though.

Think he can cut it for United as a winger. Giggsy is 37. Besides Giggsy, we only have Nani, Valencia, Park, Obertan, Bebe. The last two have not impressed me to be honest and they are of the same age as Adel Taarabt. I beg to differ with those who claim that Taraabt cannot make the step up to the EPL.

He looks a telent for sure.

I we loaned out Bebe or Obertan to a championship side for a season and they done what Taarabt has done this season we'd be saying they're going to end up world class.

He's been brilliant but he's a bit of a livewire, you never really know hoe he's gonna react to certain situations. He certainly has a huge ego but I don't think that's really a weekness, just a trait of his personality that can actually come in pretty handy in football. For my money, he'll leave QPR next season, but not for us, someone like Villa or Everton instead.

14 goals and 12 assists in 29 games this season, has run the show in pretty much every good game QPR have had this season, he is also doing well at international level too. Yeah fair enough at times he can try too much and be a bit selfish but he is a huge talent and at 21 he still has time to learn and improve his game.

Just another point. Charlie Adam who some on here seem to believe is good enough for a top club had a record of 19 goals and 11 assists in 49 games last season.

Be really interested to see how he does in PL.

If we were ever to buy him, it wouldn't be until he's had a season or two in PL. A la Valencia, etc.

Yep and no doubt will cost a bomb.

He looks a telent for sure.

Yes but we haven't and they haven't, so no telling they would do well or not. This guy is 21 and getting regular games now whilst Bebe is very raw and reserve level and Obertan gets scraps of games. I know they are at United and so are training with higher class players, better coaching and better facilities but there really is no substitute for regular game time.

He looks a talent and very skillfull. If we could pick him up cheapish then he'd be worth a try but problem is he wouldn't get that many chances here, I mean look at Hernandez, anywhere else he'd be a regular. Spurs should have been more patient with Taarbat

Will be worth £35m if QPR go up and he scores 3 goals or more in PL.

QPR are completely set to accomodate him though. That set up has so many weaknesses imo. They will get murdered at a higher level. He goes missing for long periods aswell which again a higher level isnt good enough. He is a joy to watch though....

Well not that much different to Adam at Blackpool, both sides are set up to play everything through the both of those.

Yeah I agree he does go missing and at times is too over elaborate in what he does and loses possession, picks the wrong option etc etc. But great to watch when on form and could still well become a good Premiership player but as of now has to work on other aspects of his game first.

IMO he's off this summer. Someone in midtable england or spain will take a chance on him.

That is unless mittal/eccelstone are going to spunk major cash when qpr make the jump next year.

He is very talented and i think if we could get him a decent price not a bad buy. Am sure Fergie can sort his strops out.

Harry will probably buy him back if hes relatively cheap

Probably, he's apparently on Harry's must buy list along with Parker, Kagawa, Carlton Cole, Kalinic, Rakitic, Arteta, Fellaini, Baines, Coleman, Young, Carew, Warnock, O'Shea, Squillaci, Collocini, Taylor, Nolan, Smith, Odemwingie, Brunt, Thomas, Adam, Varney, Grandin, Rodallega, N'Zogbia, Miller, Boyd, Samaras, Balotelli, Ebanks Blake, Milijas, Ronaldinho, Beckham, Murphy, Hangelaand, Duff, Shevchenko, Abidal, Keita, Diarra, the other Diarra, another Diarra, Makoun, Trochowski, Marin, Schweinsteiger, Muller, Eto'o, Rossi, Aguero and Brazilian playmaker Transferinho Bargainho.

I vaguely remember seeing him for Spurs, I have heard he has been killing it in the championship as well but like a few people said...what is that really worth? Its one thing to do all these great things again half arsed teams but could he come on against Chelsea and do it? I dont know the answer to that...maybe he could but how often does someone coming up from the championship excel in the premier league?

He might very well be capable of playing in the EPL, but is he able to do it at a big club?
