Adel Taarabt

You completely missed my point.

Which is no great surprise coming from someone who seems to think the best footballers are those with the fanciest flicks and tricks.

Your point wasn't rocket science, doc. And your second sentence shows what an utter spastic you are. You are quite annoying. I didn't say anything about fancy tricks.

Certainly no one can predict the future, but watching the guy, you would see the type of talent you only see in the biggest stars of world football, for me it was enough to see how Ronaldo touches the ball to know he's going to be one of the best players in the world under Sir Alex, for many on here, he was a show pony. I guess maybe you have to play football in order to appreciate the touch. Taarabt only needs good coaching and man management (I do not know anything about his personality but just in case), I've no doubts about that, I'm not sure if he's going to get it. I just hope he does.

Poor lad, you've had some unnecessary stick for this.

11 goals in 23 appearances in the Championship...and he's only 21. His nutmeg-goal this week was sick. Why did Spurs give him up again?

because he wanted first team football, and he got that at QPR.

Spurs are good at picking up talent, but keeping these players has been hard for them. Look at them selling defoe, kaboul, keane, chimbonda, etc and buying them back. They had taarabt and boetang on their books, but sold them off. And the same will probably happen with walker, naughton, rose and bostock (dont think he's been progressing as was expected of him)

they bought Bale when he was pretty young and that worked out. Sometimes I'm amazed at how Fergie is able to find young players and develop them into some of the world's best when other clubs couldn't do it to save their lives.

Tell you what, this guy looks like one hell of a player. Have a mate that supports QPR and apparently he's been doing the business for them again and again. A real raw talent.

You just beat me to it Rahul.. that pass at 5.30 was worthy of a thread of its own!

By all accounts he's the best player in the Championship by a country mile. Looking forward to seeing him in the Premiership nex season. Every time I watch Championship highlights he does something sensational. Reminds me of Nani, albeit at a far inferior level.

i agree, i really want to see how he does in the Premiership, I kinda wish someone would buy him before January out because im impatient

Looks a quality player who could become really special

I wouldnt say hes a raw talent anymore. He was at spurs but has found a home now so to speak and has flurished there. technically fantastic, the decision making is finally catching up with the rest of his abilities. Scored a cracker at the w/e again

The lad makes me proud, he will star next season in the Premier League. He has everything in his locker to be a top winger, he will definitely play in a bigger team at some point in the future, and I hope he will be good enough for Utd.

I remember him playing a few games for Spurs a while back, whenever he came off the bench he brought some much needed energy to the side. Fantastic feet, very quick and an eye for a pass. The only problem is he seems to overdo it, showboats too much from what i remember of him. Obviously that can change with time, and it seems it has. He does have all the qualities to be a very good player, we'll have to wait and see.

I stand by this previous statement.

I've been laughing at my mates who have been taking the piss at my predictions for him and Scott Sinclair this season. A premier league club could do a lot worse than trying to pick those two up before the window is shut.

Taarabt along with Routledge as winger for QPR are just class. Premier League side next season I hope.

I watch a lot of the Swans, and I don't think Sinclair is quite there yet. Sheer pace, but he's getting so much freedom at Swansea that it's doing him a lot of good.

Looks like a good player in the making, think at Spurs Redknapp thought he had all the talent but lacked the right mentality to make it. Taking the step down to the Championship was a great decision by the lad as he has flourished there and is the key man at QPR. Was watching the match the other day against Coventry and once again it was taarabt who ran the show, took his goal well and some of his skills were top notch. If QPR are promoted I have a feeling he will hang around for a crack at the Premiership with them but if not then I think he will be off in the summer. Has the potential to make the kind of impact in the Premiership that Charlie Adam has.

I believe I remember Redknapp saying something along the lines of not knowing what his best position was.

I think he'd be great at Blackpool on the left, If I was Holloway I would be doing my best to flog Adam and try and get one if not both of them. FM-ish I know but they're gonna sky-rocket in value if they get into the Premiership.

QPR is going to be a Premier League club next season. They also have loaded owners, whom intentions are probably to become a established Premier League side. So money will not be the motivation for the sale if he will leave it will be because he bigger club comes calling. I feel very confident that if he were to go to England. It would be to a bigger club than Blackpool. Like Liverpool, Everton, Aston Villa, Sunderland or Newcastle or something.

Spot on actually, it was Giovanni Dos Santos's attitude that he questioned, I believe he said something along the lines of "if he could pass a nightclub as well as he could pass a ball then the lad would be doing well"

He's still amazingly inconsistent.

He's either unreal or nothing comes off. But when he gets it right my word he gets it right.

Has a feck load of talent.

He's obviously found his level in the Championship, having been pants every time he's had a chance in the Premier League.

Which sums up why there's absolutely no guarantee Taraabt can replicate this season's form in the top flight.

Routledge has rarely impressed me, I've always thought Taarabt was a talent that just needed fine-tuning on the other hand.

Yeah he has had chances in the Premiership and never taken them. Definitely a Championship quality player and no more than that

the pass on sunday for the 2nd goal was stunning. hope to see him in prem next season

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt has claimed that Manchester United are interested in acquiring his services.

The youngster was unable to make the cut at Tottenham Hotspur despite spending three years at the north London club, and was packed away to QPR in a deal that was thought to be worth £500,000.

"Nothing is official yet. I had discussions about my transfer after my performance against Coventry City. I’m ready to go to Manchester United," Taarabt said, according to The People.

"We’ll see later in the season, as I’m hoping to reach the promotion target with my current club QPR. I like England, so I am not against the idea of continuing my career at United.”

Taarabt previously claimed that Real Madrid are interested in signing him.

I can see us looking for a young left winger in the summer. Doubt it will be Taarabt but who knows?

I like him as a player, extremely talented. But those lines above really make him sound like an annoying self-important prick...:nono:
