You mean the right back that's been in the league winning squad for the past two seasons yeah?
If he's as good as Kyle Walker then we have ourselves a gem.
Walkers prone to the odd error but is still quality.
AWB looks to be half way there already, can read the game amazingly well, has pace, intelligence and the attitude to back all this up, given the freedom he will get down that right side I'm sure he will flourish.
Finally pace in our full back positions.
You're logic is wasted on this doofus.

For sure!! Young will hopefully now just be used sparingly, to cover for suspensions and rest.
Carabao+EL 2019/20:

Lingard Greenwood
Pereira McTominay
Matic Garner
Young Jones Smalling Dalot
Romero
  • Lingard, Jones, Young, Matic and Romero not to feature again in PL
  • Greenwood, Pereira, McTominay, Garner, Dalot and Smalling to offer bench options in PL

Finally nearing the end for bird shit boy starting for us

Glad this finally appears to be over, now get out there and get us a CB, CM or two and RW please Woody

If it's really wrapped up, nice to have a proper right FB again. He is still young though and will need some time to really develop, I hope the fans understand that and don't start insulting him on twitter after a couple of bad games.

All the posters hysterically crying to move on when the media reported we would have to pay 60m and the Zaha clause can jog the feck on for a while.

Delighted with this, a proper defender his stats are fantastic.

We can work on his forward play, don't care how much he cost.

RB sorted for the next 10 years

I'm not sure how this works for big football clubs to be honest - e.g. how many persons are legally qualified to bind the club, how many "negotiators" are there? You'd think there would be an employment lawyer present, some financial people, some football people, ... I don't know of what such a team consists in terms of total number of people.

Given all the Bruno Fernandes links though, you'd indeed think that Utd has been active on multiple fronts simultaneously.
For any "big" club i'd be absolutely amazed if it was truly left down to just the CEO or DOF to do all the negotiating, contracts, offers etc. You think they'd have a team of lawyers and negotiators working on their behalf. Maybe it really is the old boys club going out to dinners and lunches while working on a "deal". Meh.

To think that shit club was trying to remove the 25% sell on clause on a player they paid £6M for and delayed the transfer for weeks.
Goodness me.
It was obviously the u21 euros that delayed the transfer.

Hoping for Maguire is like hoping to be put out of your misery...
Not really. Not getting into the argument here but he's the most underrated player on this forum by a mile.

All those games for Utd he missed during that time. Goodness knows how many training sessions he missed out on...

These things take a bit of time, and it’s had zero effect. He’s clearly a player Palace didn’t want to sell, perhaps they wanted some time and space to negotiate with other teams for his replacement?
Or Ed and team just made stupid offers from the start that Palace were clearly never going to accept. I read we started at 25m up front with 10m of add ons. 3 weeks later we are at the same level palace asked for!

That's a bit unnecessary, isn't it?

Fair enough, opinions can differ wildly. I reckon he's the most overrated, so here you go

If our first offer was £45m plus £5m add ons I'm sure they would have requested £60-65m! Standard negotiating tactics, first bid lowers expectations, second bid semi realistic, 3rd bid more or less what you want to pay. After that it should be tweaks

It's called negotiating. You don't start with the highest offer. I hate Ed as much as the next guy but he made a good deal there.

45m up front with 5m add ons? Where did you see that?

Only because time is running out, and we seem to work on one deal at a time. Who knows if that’s the case, but we don’t half take our time which is why a few extra weeks could’ve been useful.

Is he reliable? I’m only going off what the BBC have said.

It's not just Dawson. It's everywhere. MEN and BBC are reporting it too. From the BBC article:

The deal is worth £50m and the 21-year-old England Under-21 international is set to travel for a medical imminently before going on holiday.

United would pay £45m up front, which would make him the Old Trafford club's fifth-biggest signing, behind Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Angel di Maria and Fred.

So, for the first time in over half a decade, we will actually have a natural right back playing at right back.

We're haven't been asking for the earth here.

Excellent signing. We now have 3 very good fullbacks.

Time to follow him on social media and wait for him playing that cnuting piano

Smart signing and a reasonable fee for a young English player.

Hurrahhhh, RB finally addressed, we've had 0 defensively sound full backs since G Neville, (No Valencia and Rafael were only good at attacking, the former just about)..
