Great performance.
Dribbling with the ball he's always been decent, it's the passing that would cause us issues or the opposite way with his positioning (got away a few times in the first half)

I'm a big critic, but he was really good today, especially in possession. Never thought I'd say that about AWB.

It looked like he might've had some fault for the Grealish goal but feck me he was great with the ball - don't think I've ever said that before.

How have we gone from having no right back worth half a feck to having two great right backs without signing anyone?

He has weird moments of hugely skillful clumsiness and it makes as little sense as that combination of words.

Gave him MOTM ahead of Fred. Partly because he was a rock defensively, partly because he briefly turned into Iniesta for a beautiful 3 minute spell in the second half.

Having being targeted in both games against City last season, man did good today. That really wasn't an easy game for him to step up in.

Proper coaching has turned this limited defender around.

Worth reminding that this place wasnt impressed with Shaw either.

Shaw, Dalot and AWB have all shown they're good/very good fullbacks. The only change was Malacia coming in and to be fair to him, on a good day he looks like another AWB defensively but more elegant on the ball

I thought he was good. he's obviously great with his 1 v 1 defending, but I can't ignore the fact that his man scored the goal He was better at picking up off the ball runs today (did Foden even play) but didn't pick up Grealish. Definitely better though. A solid 6 or 7 out of 10 today but the other defenders were all better

Why would you expect him to pick up Grealish when Haaland is the bigger danger?

If he picks up Grealish and De Bruyne crosses it to Haaland and he has a free header in the 6 yards box you're probably going to say what was Wan-Bissaka doing not coming round on the cover?

It was a well worked overload at the backpost from City.

What a comeback from him. His close control was excellent today, was very good with the ball throughout which was great to see.

Few hairy moments at the back and not great for the goal but otherwise he was a monster today.

He was vital in the build up to Bruno’s goal, started that move out of nowt. Good game today and he may not be a right off yet.

Have to admit, fair play to him to come back and perform like that after a long while out of the team.

Coaching and confidence.

It's weird that fullback now seems to be the strongest part of the squad depth wise.

Don't think anyone was expecting that at the start of the season.

Massive credit to Ten Hag and the coaching staff.

Looks like an another player under ETH with his ability when pressed, really encouraging.

In his current form of all the full backs that might available in January he is the best of them.

Not his biggest fan but wish him a speedy recovery he was very good today. Even though when he dribbles it always feels like he completely fools both himself and the opponent but manages to react to this quicker due to his defensive reflexes.

Could've done better for the goal perhaps, but he was exceptional throughout the rest of the game and we won, so who cares.

That's a bit harsh. Haaland was left alone on the back post, and if the ball had landed on his head instead, who's man would he have been?

Because Grealish is AWB's man, not Halland. Halland is Varane's man

Fair play to him, he's reviving his career here.

Played a big part in us coming back into the game with some great dribbles. Lifted the crowd.

One of the most unusual dribblers of a ball I've seen. You feel like he's always on the cusp of losing it but he actually has full control.
