He always has so little confidence in putting a cross in and ends up passing it back while in a crossing position (which often works out because Bruno and Casemiro are definitely better than him in that regard).

Good player, but Dalot was more threatening in 5 minutes than he was during the whole game

He's been very good since he came back, it can only be a good thing for us, having 2 good right backs.

Happy he's doing well. Hopefully he continues this to keep us fresh at right back position

He was doing well but the difference in attack once Dalot stepped on the field is palpable. Still, if he’s content with a squad role and continues this vein of form, we might not be pressed to find a backup/competition for Dalot for a while, which can only be a good thing.

He has done really well since he has come back into the side and I think the need for another RB is no longer there.
It will be interesting to see if Erik gets further improvement out of him to see how far he can go.

He did his job fine last few games. No question about it. But difference between him and Dalot regarding attacking phase is staggering

Good performance again yesterday. Not opposed to keeping him as backup if he continues this form.

Pleased for him - interesting how much players improve when they have structure around them

Maybe we can end the season with him and sell him next summer when Laird returns.

Man Utd 3:0 Charlton
His jogging back infuriates me

The drop off in quality on the right wing when subbed on for Dalot was very noticeable. Did a lot of what he is good at - tackling, but he continues to be pretty bad going forward. He's done well to increase his fee, but we need a new RB and he needs to get going.

Agreed. It's always been a part of his game. The way Dalot sprints back when losing the ball, Malacia on the other side, and then you see AWB casually strolling back holding hands with his right sided centre back. It's infuriating.

Similar to McTominay, he's improved with clearer directions under Ten Hag, and his positive athleticism get his play up to passable, but still frustrating.

I don't think he was any worse than Dalot who wasn't particularly having a good game.

Me too. People are just seeing what they want to see. Wan-Bissaka was fine, 5 clean sheets in 6 appearances this season isn't anything to be scoffed at either, quality of the opposition be damned.

Pretty sure we haven't conceded with him on the pitch since the Burnley game.

It really shows the importance of coaching, he looks so much more assured on the ball and seems to know where the next pass should go.

It probably helps also be that Anthony, Casemiro and Eriksen always show for the ball whereas in the past the Dan James and Lingard seemed to hide when they played on the right and McTominay and Fred never really showed for the ball inside for him either which probably made him look worse on the ball than he actually is.

AWB's first time passing and pass selection are often pretty good for a rightback. The offside goal first time cross is another good example of that. Made some good tackles, obviously not a surprise against league 1 opposition when he's had great games stopping dribblers one on one in the premier league and champions league

Man Utd 2:1 Man City
Put some respect on his name. Whether he’s here long term or not whoever wants him will have to pay good money!

Thought he had a great game.

That dribble he did in their half was something like Ronaldinho. He has always been a good dribbler, though.

If anyone says he didn't have a good game then they should give up football. He showed how skillful he is, he isn't a good passer but as a ball carrier he is good. His dribbling and skill when pressed was awesome, so was his move for first goal.

Credit to the man. He had a really good game today, on the back of a few good recent performances. All of a sudden our RB looks strong with our two options

Him and Shaw fantastic today. Can't fault him for the goal being left 2v1 back stick and one of the 2 is Erling Haaland.

Exactly, I'm sure some of the clueless haters will say Dalot would have headed it but Haaland was the danger in that situation and it's extremely doubtful Dalot is beating Grealish in the air anyway when he has a run and jump on him.

Who said he was poor on the ball, beat half the City midfield at one point in the game :lol::lol:

Fair play, he's proving me wrong. He's more than capable of being a back up for us if that's how he continues to perform

I promise this guy looks like AWB but it can’t be AWB. What a turnaround.

Very good again. Don't think he's at fault for the goal personally.

Another with one of the best performances I’ve seen from them. Really good today

Felt like some of the ball carries really relieved pressure from us a few times, great game.

I thought he was good. he's obviously great with his 1 v 1 defending, but I can't ignore the fact that his man scored the goal He was better at picking up off the ball runs today (did Foden even play) but didn't pick up Grealish. Definitely better though. A solid 6 or 7 out of 10 today but the other defenders were all better
