He reminds me of what Azpi was in his prime, unreal 1 vs 1.

Yeah I'm not sure we've had a fullback as strong 1 vs 1 / man marking as Azpiliceuta was in over half a century! My favourite kind of fullback too. I really knew nothing of him when he signed but I'm absolutely delighted we'll have him for the next decade.

I'm calling it now, he'll get the highest average rating on here of any United player this season. He is just so difficult to beat.
There were a couple of times last night where his positioning was a bit poor so that can be improved. I think he's a bit too relaxed with positioning because he has the pace to recover.

Monster defensively, needs to have a bit more confidence in himself when he has space on the right in opposition half. Go at the full back and fizz it in

Whilst he has been phenomenal, I do worry that when you go to ground you’re momentarily out of the game. There will come a time where he completes the challenge using his technique and will put us in danger if it doesn’t release the ball to safety.

He was the one who crossed it to Lingard for the miskick right ? That wasn't bad at all, he also made another good pass that was maybe a bit stronger that Lingard again almost controlled inside the box. His attacking game will improve with time, most important thing is that he is reliable when defending

I do tend to agree but yesterday he played a great cross that Lingard totally fluffed and played a lovely pass to Lingard in the box that Boly just managed to toe away.
You are right but one/two passes is just not enough, especially since we had so much of the ball in the right side yesterday, James, AWB and Lingard all played in the right side but the amount of crosses put in or chances created were meagre. Compared to players like TAA, one or two crosses is very few.

The kid is fantastic! I took to him from Day One in pre-season and he has been excellent every time I've watched him play. I admit I never watched him at Palace and didn't even know of him until we were linked to him and I applaud our scouts and Ole for picking him out. He's such a beast at defending! One of my favourite players in the team already.

I don't get why people are overly critical about his attacking and even comparing him to more established RB's. I understand they want him to become a better and more complete fullback but it's too early to expect him to do everything perfectly. He is still in the early days of his career, he will certainly improve on his all-round game as he grows and matures.

Think this is basically what you'll get out of him tbf. Solid as feck defensively, not much going forward (but not awful). Basically inverse of Alexander Arnold.

The pass to Lingard was an excellent piece of iniative instead of looking for the cross. His attacking ability is very underrated.

MOTM last night, much better than against Chelsea where I thought he was caught out of position 1 too many times. Next game will be interesting to see how he copes against his old side...

Agreed I think he showed he's got a good eye for a pass however he I do think he needs to work on his overlapping and putting a ball in more often, I felt like he kept checking which lost us some momentum (although could say that for a lot of the attack!). In fairness to him given this was his first time playing with James (and in general he's still new to the team) I'm not surprised it will take time to adjust and it's encouraging to see that he wants to get forward.

As most are saying defensively he's really good and from what I can see he does have good positional awareness despite some people saying he needs to slide so much. Really good at getting a toe in to kick the ball away or just slow momentum.

Isn't that precisely what people used to moan about Valencia doing? I'd rather he showed a bit more guile. Personally, I think he's got a lot of potential going forward, and I expect him to improve in that department.

Defensively I can't remember the last time we had a player I had such confidence in.

Valencia would check back more often than not. Wan Bissaka played a good ball (picked out) to Lingard for that air volley so would like to see more of it.

But yeah, I have so much confidence in him 1v1

Harry might nick the highest average rating (or at least player of the year) in the end, but that’s not so bad after we invested so much in both.

Think he was excellent going both ways last night. One of the positions in the side we are sorted.

Hes only going to get better for us I reckon.

The best thing about him, is he is quite calm on the ball. He doesnt just get the ball and smash it up front. He does often look to pick out a pass and is composed in doing so.

Just the 9 tackles for him last night. Rest of our defence made 6 combined.

So happy we signed him.

He has made such a difference to the way we play. We can push up higher and our press is so much more effective because we are getting the lines nearer each other.

He is clearly working on his distribution / crossing which was better this game than against Chelsea.

Having only played a handful of games for United he is doing amazingly well!

Offensively he can’t be criticised until a regular partner is found.

Such a good player. Feels so good knowing that we have him here and as a supporter you just feel a lot more comfortable. You know when someone attacks down that side he's just going to deal with it 90% of the time. He was terrific last night.

So far.... our best signing in years. Exactly what we needed there. He’ll only improve as well. Making that 50m look cheap.

Wamba-Saka was the best United player on the pitch by a country mile last night. I agree, our best signing in years. He gets all over the pitch and as well as being brilliant defensively so far, his offensive play is good also. Calm, and assured and not just in defense; where as Smalling gets a nose bleed if he ventures close to the half way line.

Brilliant signing.

Such a likable player. Not many wingers will fancy coming up against him this season.

He is, he looked so cute when he was telling the ref it wasn't a handball and that it hit his shoulder. How he got booked for that I'll never know.

One of not many who can keep his chin up high after yesterday, if only others could channel his professionalism.

I wonder how Palace fans will act when we play them this weekend. It would be so stupid if he got booed but I wouldn't be surprised.

Top of the rankings for number of tackles made this season so far - I can't see him being knocked off the top spot  He's almost a cheat - it's somewhat expected at the moment that no one will go past him.

Defensively outstanding

Attacking play is limited but I would like to think that with our plethora of expensive coaches we can work on his delivery. Crossing *should* be the easiest thing to do in football as you're only really trying to put the ball into an area

In 2016, Wilfried Zaha faced Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the first time in a Crystal Palace training match. Wilfried Zaha could not take the ball past him.

Now, on Saturday, the man responsible for helping AWB discover and develop his extraordinary tackling talent will be his direct opponent.

At Old Trafford, Spider-Wan faces his toughest test yet. Zaha returns for a rematch.
