Game of Thrones are filming in Ballintoy Harbour, same place for Theon’s arrival home to Pyke in Season 2. So we're defiantly getting the Iron Islands.
I'm both excited and pensive about the upcoming season.
Excited because having gone past the books that's a significant monkey off their backs when it comes to freedom to depict the goings on for various characters and settings. The last couple of books were quite dull and they struggled to overcome that in the show itself. Maybe now having gone past that point they can express their vision more clearly and maybe speed things up a bit.
Pensive because when they've had freedom over character direction and dialogue in the past it's been very predictable 'hollywood' tv and has suffered (imo) as a result. I'm dreading that they'll feck something up - though what they'll feck up I'm not sure.
Apologies if this post is somewhat nonsensical, it's been a long day and my brain is scrambled.
I'd half forgotten about them. I think I'm due a reread.I've been reading the last 2 books again and i like them a lot. I kind of think they put the show to shame.
I liked Brienne and Jaime's story a lot. Dorne and the Iron Islands are a nice addition too imo.
May just be a drunken oversight as I definitely need to spare some time for a reread - has it ever been mentioned whether a white walker could be a warg? The proper WW's are evidently sentient creatures, not undead Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.
Manderly 'Memphis De' Pies
Oh for feck sake, time for bed
Definitely possible I think. It's heavily implied (with the Night's King), that they have a connection of some sort to the Starks.
My tagline is fairly apt at this point, going to avoid posting the rest of the night I think.Seriously dont start that shit.
It was horrifying enough in the tv thread.
What if he's Bran the builder?
They're introducing the northern lords like Manderly in the next season aren't they?
I know right! Can't believe people thought it was Vanilla and not Vinegar.
Aye he looks like Alfie Allen, he's got the same weirdly off-centre eye and wide head.Tbf though he does look like he could be related to Theon. More a cousin than an uncle though.
I believe it when I see it.Just seen this lads, 2016

Where have they come from? Some big future spoilers on r/asoiaf for those who don't mind a bit of prior knowledge.
Quite high I think. You are right in that Randyll is seen as one of the more prominent commanders in the west, especially with so much of the former good commanders dead.http://watchersonthewall.com/meet-the-tarlys-game-of-thrones-adds-three-more-actors-to-season-6/
In what regard is House Tarly held in ASOIAF and is Randyll Tarley considered one of the best commanders/soliders in Westeros or am I completely off base?

It actually tells an interesting and engaging story, rather than the later seasons, taking it in turns to catch up with a range of characters we're familiar with.I've been rewatching Season 1 for the first time, it really is miles better than the later stuff.
