Yeah that's true. Can also use it during commute and stuff. That's the beauty of handheld. Just play it in bed
Maybe I'll buy it when Silksong is out. So never.

Anyone remember Freespace 2? Bought it again during the steam sale thought i might replay it, had a fantastic campaign and even better mods, Blue planet was the shit.

Yes. Fairly straightforward once you get your head round it.Has anyone had any joy with Amiga emulators on PC? I can't get my head around how to load the roms for games that came on multiple floppy disks.
The TLDR for my other post and answering your point....Has anyone had any joy with Amiga emulators on PC? I can't get my head around how to load the roms for games that came on multiple floppy disks.
Cheers - I'll give it a go. I couldn't find a straightforward explanation anywhere when I was messing about with it last time, so I gave up. Wonder if it's easy to do when using Launchbox as the front end?Yes. Fairly straightforward once you get your head round it.
I use Winuae which is straightforward .
You need an appropriate kickstart version. Winmarleigh allows you to emulate almost any Amiga, so for most games I go with an A600 using kickstart 2.0
In terms of Roms, you choose the fame you want to play and map the disk images to drives, and then launch your game.
For your favourite games, once you have configured everything you can save the configured as a desktop icon that will effectively launch straight into the game.
The Winuae online guidance is pretty straight forward.
I didn't know there was a game of that.used to absolutely love this
Today, I feel Kermit.I didn't know there was a game of that.
Also, I was once in a room at Wembley arena with the guy who played Jim Hawkins in that film, along with Martin Freeman, Sir Bobby Charlton and Gianni Infantino. Weird crowd.
GOG has Thief for less than $1
Just got Sid's Colonization to play gain after 20+ odd years, it's well harder than I remembered!
That should be on every thread relating to transfersused to absolutely love this
I didn't play any of those but one of my brothers didAll the games from that era were way harder than what it is now.
I have played some older games, like Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale and I don't want to imagine how's to play Thief, without map markers and health regeneration. I don't think I'm up to it anymore.
Oh man another goldie. Loved that as well. Any game that used real video of actors overlayed on ingame graphics felt so...cool.used to absolutely love this
Maybe a bit of cheating since they came out in '01 and '02 but my uncle always bought me obscure games for my birthdays when I was very young, around 7-8 years old. Heart of Darkness and Hooligans: Storm over Europe. Last one was a bit of a dodgy game made by some Dutch developer but I thought it was fun, Heart of Darkness gave me nightmares and was super difficult I never really finished it.
Edit: just saw HoD came out in 1998. Apparently there was a GBA port in 2001 and read it wrong.
Don't think I've really played Heart of Darkness, but I can vivdly remember the great visuals (just checked, great cartooney style and perfectly implemented the rendered backgrounds . Always thought it was a bit like Another World - which made me quite anxious as well.
Lemmings was an amazing game series!Probably most annoyed at the latest offering (patch) but Diablo was a huge thing - even the coolest kids on the schoolyard admitted playing it.
Beneath a Steel Sky was a great point n click. Early 90s would have to inlcude Lemmings of course. Pretty addictive.
This was definitely a classic, 2 and 4 were quite good as well, 5 less soThere's been some brilliant games mentioned, but one I haven't seen yet from the 90s was this classic:
Did anyone play Phantasmagoria and the 11th hour (I think?) growing up?
To be honest I was a bit young and scared shitless of parts of these games. But I remember all of us being engrossed by these games.I believe you will struggle to find people who actually didn't play Phantasmagoria (or at least give it a shot). I remember there was a time, in the mid 90s, there were two kinds of people: Those who had it and couldn't stop talking about it and those who wanted to get it. I vaguely remember The 11th Hour. I think it was one of the games i didn't finish because it seemed too challenging without really being engaging.

Wasn’t there a The Wolf Within or something too of the same ilk?

Wow, yes. Haven't though about that game in 30 yearsDid anyone play Phantasmagoria and the 11th hour (I think?) growing up?

I was really amazed by the 7th Guest (to which The 11th Hour was a sequel); I don't think I had seen actually video images being used in a game before, or at least not of that quality. I don't think I actually played that game, but I did play The 11th Hour, which really took the concept to the next level, blurring the line between film and game (at the standards of the time). Very cool game, although I used clues every time I had to look for an object. Just too hard!Did anyone play Phantasmagoria and the 11th hour (I think?) growing up?
Yeah, that was so cool! It was great to walk around in those super real Star Wars sceneries, and a fun game, too. I loved the first Jedi Knight as well, but I didn't play any other or further sequels.I mentioned it earlier, but Dark Forces and the games that followed are easily up there with the best SW content ever made, in fact most of the 90's SW games are. Above most of the films and books, easily.
Dark Forces also has some of the best mods and player levels ever made too. Ridiculous amount of content you can have there for those who have never tried it.
A buddy and I had such a great time trying to come up with different ways to approach the missions. Something about that game felt so fresh even though nothing about it was particularly revolutionary compared to many of the other games in here.Used to be one of my favorite games!
I'm not sure if the whole real time tactics genre is dead nowadays!!
