Damit I was going to go for Samuel and then Camoranesi. I wondered how on earth Samuel made it this far.

Couldn't decide between Samuel and Hyypia. Personally think Samuel was the better player at his peak but I'm not sure that would've been fully recognised by the voters...the PL spine's shaping up nicely I think.

I think Hyypia was better at Liverpool than many people think though I don't he was ever in the top rank of defenders across Europe which Samuel at his best was, on top of which he has an extensive silverware collection.

Played 11 seasons with Bayern. Won the league 6 times, the CL once and lost to us in '99. Also has 11 other cup titles with Bayern. Twice the African Player of the year runner up. Youngest defender to score in the CL and the most capped African in the CL with 60 games.

A few teams shaping up nicely. Valeron is one of the top five playmakers in the draft. Helguera is a good versatile selection. Kluivert was superb in the late 1990s and a capable line-leader on his own.
