2024 UEFA Champions League final — Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid — Wembley, Sat 1 June 20:00 BST

Comparing Bellingham to Dele isn't a bad call. Bellingham is a clutch player and I wouldn't be shocked if he scores the winner. However, he's rated because of what he does in the final third.

He's one of the many pseudo Lampards who are top level as box to box midfielders but only truly game changing because of their goalscoring, not creation, passing etc. In days gone by he would have been the second striker in a front two.

This season you mean. He wasn't rated for output in the final third at Dortmund.

The referee was also crazily bias to RM might as well wear white jersey. 2 yellow cards for normal protests and RM get all those silly calls. Dortmund is playing against RM and refereee.

Wouldn't he let off Vini for the foul on the keeper, didn't look much in it.

Throwing us off the scent?

Can't wait to read how amazing Sancho has been, despite him basically doing nothing anytime there's not time and space. Super tidy then though
Thank God we have @Zehner to educate us unsophisticated and uncultured swines.

He doesn’t get talked about very often but Carvajal has been one hell of a servant for real. He’s been their starting RB throughout a period where they’ve been ridiculously successful

I hate how he’s developed into essentially a Dele Alli type 9.5. He has the skill set/work rate to be so much more.

I understand why Ancellotti deploys him as such, just think it’s a bummer for the players development.
I heard on the total football podcast that since Bellingham's return from injury, Ancelotti has been playing him deeper.

All those corporate wanker seats at Wembley being empty like clockwork for most of the second half is one of the most depressing and typifying sights of modern football.

Brandt’s crosses have been really poor so far. Hasnt beaten the first man on 2 or 3 occasions now. C’mon maannn

Madrid have been rubbish for like the last 3 rounds

Clear freekick for Camavinga, but not sure why he's not booked for his protests ala Dortmund

Real going about it with the self assured laziness of knowing they'll win it anyway no matter what

And they are right..

Means? Overrated? For the record I don’t rate him either. I think he’s terribly overhyped.

I think he's a midfielder that gets a lot of allowances in his positioning, makes a name by getting in and around the box and scoring. But in terms of actual midfield duties I don't think he's anything special. His passing OK, defending OK etc. He's a bit of a luxury player in many ways, and I think that's why he goes missing in games like this. He doesn't seem to have an extra string in his bow to make him effective. Maybe he'll develop more in other areas in time.

It’s so vexing as a fan

Wouldn't care if bellingham didn't start for England at the Euro's. At the minute, I see a stat padder and nothing more.
