2024 UEFA Champions League final — Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid — Wembley, Sat 1 June 20:00 BST

Thought Camavinga was excellent. Never seems to get the headlines but always impressed when I see him play. Looks so mature for his age in his playing style. Interesting to see where Mbappe fits in. My guess is replacing Rodrygo as one of the split strikers if they keep that system.

Yeah gutting we weren't attractive enough to lure him or Tchouameni, expect Rodrygo to leave most likely for City once he returns from Copa

Yeah you're right that one was big as well.

Take away that Fullkrug's chance as it would've been offside and it's probably closer to 1.50 for Dortmund.

While I agree that the xG model should not include it, it also doesn't include the extent of the first Adeyemi chance since the shot he eventually had was of much worse quality that the chance itself. They would even themselves out in that respect.

Good point.

Mbappe would play on the left and Vini in the middle..the real question to Ancelotti is where he would put Endrick in that situation:lol:

Totally forgot they signed Endrick. Madrid are set for the next decade. Wonder if they will loan him for a season. Mbappe seems a better fit through the middle than Vini if they go 433 again. Can see Valverde making way if they change to that system. Extremely harsh would welcome him or Tchouaméni here in a heartbeat if one gets frustrated with playing time.

Yeah so would I but neither will leave and quite honestly they may relish the competition there

You just knew once Dortmund missed their chances Madrid will eventually score and they did. Up until the 1st goal they werent anything special but once they broke the deadlock it was over.
Klopp witnessed yet another defeat to Madrid. :D
Also, strange from Terzić that he didnt give Sancho a chance in the game. Maybe he could have helped.

Not sure if it was already mentioned here but Alex Ferguson remains the last manager to beat Real Madrid in a major European final, all of 40 years ago with Aberdeen.

And Real Madrid played 11 European finals since then - 9 in Champions League, 2 in Uefa Cup. Won them all. 11/11. Incredible.
