2024 UEFA Champions League final — Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid — Wembley, Sat 1 June 20:00 BST

Dortmund will regret missing all those chances. Nailed on now for Madrid to win from here.

Seriously though, how is a Slovenian ref in charge of a CL final between a German and Spanish team, could be an Italian, French, Dutch, English ref. Or Portuguese. Or Belgian. Slovenia is the fecking 30th in the UEFA country ranking.
You cannot tell me that is not Ceferin getting involved.

Carlo still has one last tactical masterstroke in his arsenal, the eyebrow.

When we reach the CL final we come up against very strong sides if not the greatest team ever :annoyed:
Always annoyed me, this. We always have to actually be the best team in Europe to win it, while Chelsea fluke one every 10 years and Liverpool get to play spurs.

Old folks couldn't find the right youtube stream (apparently isn't one this year). Turns out they were watching someone play Fifa for 10 minutes

The stewards at OT are similar. Whenever there's a pitch invader, most of them pretend they can't see them to avoid getting involved. You'd assume they're on minimum wage, straight off the dole queue and just want to get through their shift without any drama.

This is true. I know someone who works at OT (£8) and Anfield (£9) throughout the season. Also insurance coverage isn't the greatest so no point risking anything.

Let's just simply call as it is, he's incredibly shite
Well, clearly he isn't shite. But he's nowhere near being the best footballer in the world as some will have you believe.

Someone explain to me how "Courtois has been the outstanding individual" as commentary said. Unless I missed it - two of Dortmund s biggest chances were directly bc of him.

Think Dortmund had to win that half, cant see Madrid not working out how to punch back in the second half. Going in at 0-0 is a blow. But if they can still get one early in the second half it could still be their night.

Dortmund has been the better side, can't keep wasting chances like they have.

Referee is utter shit

Dortmund by far is the better team. This gives hope to others that smaller clubs can still challenge the big clubs, oil clubs and state clubs.

He looks very dodgy, slow as feck to get down.

Clearly the English McT.. gets goals from midfield.

Madrid are going to score the jammiest, wankiest goal of all time to win this 1-0. The ball will roll slowly into the net as Dortmund's keeper gets his foot stuck in the ground or something.

Definitely not convinced on Hag’s talent ID in central midfielders.[/QUOTE]
In ETH's defense it was Frank de Boer that made that horrible decision. Like he couldn't appreciate Bojan Krkić either and made a laughing stock of Lodeiro too.

Real have been terrible complete non entity going forward

Said pre match Vinicius was ill and playing with antibiotics? Him being way off it has impacted them.

Dortmund really need one early in second half otherwise you can smell the obligatory Madrid 89th minute winner off Joselu's backside.

Bit like last year's final when Man. City were supposed to stroll past Inter and yet it was a very evenly fought match right until the end.

Bellingham isn’t a hard worker, is he? Always see him standing still or doing a mctominay jog whilst chasing back.

Good game but poor finishing from Dortmund so far. Real tactically terrible again, and most of their players have been poor. This reminds me of the Real-Leipzig game earlier this season.

Basically a certainty at this point. 88 minutes off of someone's backside.

but but Ancelotti is a mastermind and Pep is a loser...

Real coaches have all been riding on their incredible luck in at least 4 UCL wins in the last 10 years, they have not been the best UCL team in any of these editions.

He hasn't been very good. I've barely noticed him.

He's been excellent at progressing the ball and beat Madrid's press numerous times. No idea how one can overlook that.

Brandt's movement has been a nightmare for Madrid. Sabitzer has also been good in midfield. Those 2 have been key in the buildup

How many times have we seen this before?

Opposition team comes out and plays calmly against a low tempo, not terrible but not good Madrid and create some clear cut chances. Then Madrid score and win the game.

Bellingham has been bad for sure but I saw him at least. I don't even remember Rodrygo touching the ball this half.

Madrid getting a bit of their own medicine with Dortmund taking them on the counter attack consistently.

Looks like the player I've seen every other time I've seen him. He's cut from the same cloth as the likes of Dele Alli.
Means? Overrated? For the record I don’t rate him either. I think he’s terribly overhyped.

I don't see a great midfielder in Bellingham. But I do think he can be a very effective second forward.
