The Harris team debated internally how to respond. Ads the Harris team produced with a direct response to the “they/them” ads wound up faring poorly in internal tests. The ads never ran.
It's not necessarily about what Harris said in this election. Her comments from the past were used against her.Im sorry but some of this identity politics stuff is blown out of proportion much more by the right than the left. I hardly hear any talk about it this election on the left vs the right and we re again talking about a tiny percentage (less than one) of the population. If even a Dem falls for that trap we re much further gone than I had thought.
About a week after the September debate, Mr. Trump started spending heavily on a television ad that hammered Ms. Harris for her position on a seemingly obscure topic: the use of taxpayer funds to fund surgeries for transgender inmates. “Every transgender inmate in the prison system would have access,” Ms. Harris said in a 2019 clip used in the ad.
Biden had a bigger margin with women though. I know, you can't separate all the various reasons, but that's a fact. I think there is still a lot of "Well, a woman can't possibly negotiate with Putin and Xi Jinping" mentality out there, as sad as that is.
Who knows how things go from here. It would be typical if the economy does well under Trump. Inflation has already been brought down, so people may not feel prices increase further, and there are good programs introduced under Biden already. And then he's probably going to drill, baby, drill, which may be good for gas prices.
Trump spent more time talking about Harris’ race than she did herself, yet it’s the Democrats that are always accused of playing identity politics.
No convincing needed when it’s clear as daylight. The Democratic Party may be called “the left”, but all they represent is racism, censorship and corruption. No one cares about races and genders, people care about grocery prices and interest rates. They are so out of touch with Americans and it is reflected by them royally losing the presidency, the senate and hopefully the house too. As long as they’re controlled by the Obama mafia they will remain the memes/vibes good for nothing party.
Main point Kim is making is that there's a really deep-seated disgust with politicians & politics in general and Trump (even after one term) was still seen as different from the status quo.
Just look at Missouri. They voted to enshrine reproductive freedom in their state constitution, and yet Trump carried the state easily by 18 points. Abortion has seemingly lost power as an issue, when it comes to nationwide elections. And the abortion issue, although huge, has already been decided on in many states. Or if it is on the ballot, women (or men) can still vote Trump and no to restrictive abortion regulations. I had read in the run up that Trump didn't say the words "pro life" once in his campaign - quite smart from him.

Not heard Latin X for a long time, certainly not from Harris.
Bit of a strange take when the other side are talking like this (video on 5th post) ...
Turning "the left" into some sort of global boogyman of the working claas is one of the modern world's biggest ironies.
How the feck have rightwing lunatics like Donald fecking Trump convinced so many people they're the working man's friend.
Just. How.
I’ve never thought about it this way but it’s not surprising when you think of the number of people it directly impacts.Just look at Missouri. They also voted for Josh Hawley who wasn't in favour of the amendmentJust look at Missouri.
