Kamala Harris' statements over the last year on this issue have been fecking disgusting. The way she has framed her statements has been obscene, dehumanising and potentially criminal. People have every reason to be appalled by her participation in the ongoing atrocities.

Texas Republicans are different from Southern ones. There is an independent streak that runs through Texas politics, partly from their mythology that Texas can choose to leave the US as other original agreement to join the union, and partly because they consider themselves rugged individualists and the southern Republicans are an embarrassment. Texas had Democrats for Governor continuously until 1979, then it ping ponged between parties, and only since the end of the 90s has it been Republican. Without gerrymandering Texas would already be blue. We’d daughter campaigning for Harris is a big deal.

There is a body of voters who are immigrants or second generation, and people from lower economic strata, who want to distance themselves from the poverty-stricken, take the worst jobs fate of their community, and Republicans have been successful at picking off these voters. There are Latinos for Trump, Blacks for Trump, etc. These people have tried joining the rich club, and with a stunt like the Puerto Rico bashing, this same group is realizing they were being duped the whole time. It’s a wake up call.
I have friends whose parents are from Mexico and refused to let their kids speak Spanish at home, so their Spanish is worse than mine, for instance.

Biden won because of energized anti trump voters. in 2020, Trump got much more voters than his win in 2016. He will still have lots of votes so he can only win with vote suppression something that Biden accomplished by himself being an old decrepit genocide asshole and Harris doesn't seem capable to energize that much either

Final CNN poll for Arizona has Harris up by a point. They have her down a point in Nevada.
Because it would probably play really well with the Puerto Ricans who can vote.
good analysis of both campaigns and a little bit of the senate races. i think the look at the resistance vs the media after the wapo endorsement fiasco was new and interesting. also the parallel between trump's strategy and bernie's failed strategy (turning out non=voters)
