I mean, both things can be true. Up until very recently I thought he'd edge it but was hoping for polls to be wrong. But I also believe any educated person that voted for Trump is a f*cking disgrace. So there's a little bit of anger to work through. I have some (formerly?) good friends that voted for Trump because they have a decent amount of crypto, and think he'll lower their personal tax bill, and that's literally all they care about.
For the masses that only see Fox News, well I can understand their vote.

Conservative think tanks are pushing for a permanent one state solution with Israel controlling everything. Trump will unappologetically support Israel. He will want to move people out of Gaza, so probably pays Egypt handsomely - he loves being seen as a deal maker - and comits to a full defensive alliance with Israel.
