CNN call PA for Trump. Final call imminent.
100%. "We can't let this happen again". Honestly this feels like one of the darkest days in American history, well that or most embarrassing.
We're a mess, but once again I feel comforted that we're not America.
oh dear. What is happening?
Begs the question…Can he really be that bad when he’s got the popular vote as well. He’s up around 5m on Harris. And as it stands it’s very likely he’ll take all 7 swing states. It could end up being an absolute train wreck for Kamala when it’s over
I have the feeling that he is use to itI imagine Starmer is putting on lipgloss as we speak.
That's honestly probably true though. He made his intentions clear from the get go. It is arguably a huge factor in why we are where we are. It's probably also why Bezos pulled the endorsement - they hold the keys now to mass amounts of user data that is more powerful than just about anything these days when you're trying to get into positions of power.
She is the current sitting Vice President of the government who is funding Israel. There are many different players involved in American empire and she is one of them. The US is funding a genocide. Harsh to put that on an individual. The border is another cluster feck.
You lie to yourself. Trump, if it would be in one of the big parties on any country would have 35-45% minimum

I know the world likes to laugh and mock America, but christ how fecking fecked do you have to be to not only elect Trump once, but do it twice? This campaign has been sickening, even more of a joke than the first time, and yet look at these results. Scary.
Not at all. People fully understood this was a possibility and talked about it A LOTYou lot don't feel this thread was/is a bit of an echo chamber? In hindsight?
For me this is another example of why we need to wake up, Europe, Africa and Asia. Imagine just one country changing its leader fecking up the whole world. If only this was about USA but it might fek up the whole world. Not might, will.
He’s talking about 6%. An asteroid hitting the earth has a popularity of 13%.You're being quite generous with either "popular" or "England".
I would consider taking that option tonight. He’s talking about 6%. An asteroid hitting the earth has a popularity of 13%.
@SirAF see what I mean?U S A!!! U S A!!!
"Can I shock you, we the Labour party have always liked Trump"I imagine Starmer is putting on lipgloss as we speak.
AOC? That would make this bloodbath look quaint. At least this is clarifying. It's not close. He's doing better everywhere. This is what America wants. It wants to 'return' to pre-pandemic world. Fair enough, I do too. But it's not possible.
I desperately hope the Dems now go for a change, positive candidate. Please please please don't take a message that moderating is what is needed.
I thought it would work - I thought they could grab some tiny sliver of the 20% of Haley voters. I was dead wrong. Dems need a new face, a new, positive direction to energise. It can't be anti-anything, it has to be for something.
AOC28!!!
Fair enough, just as I have been flicking through amd anyone who is for the other view seems to get am aggressive response, or even in one case gets called a piece of shit and to go feck themselves. Not at all. People fully understood this was a possibility and talked about it A LOT
I mean, if there's no more Gaza, then there can't be suffering children there. This confirmed to be stopping under Trump then?
I started last night thinking of how I’d feel (as a non American) if you all put Trump in. I thought I’d be upset and angry. And I am.
But, at the same time, just look at the information. It’s a resounding victory. Fundamentally we can’t just say it’s because no one wants to vote a woman, or that the economy was shit (although likely the key driver of this) even if they played a part. Because, standing back from it, the kinds of stuff Trump says and stands for should be unacceptable to a significant portion of people. That it isnt, and that actually his vote share will go up, means something. And it can’t just always be the bias in the media or people are stupid or whatever else. Something in what the democrats are doing is wrong. Their message isn’t landing.
And so if anything does come of this, I hope the sheer scale of the drubbing forces them to rethink this whole thing. For one reason or another, and I know some of those reasons are out of their control, they’ve failed to convince people that what they stand for isn’t just the right thing, but that it’s also good for them.
The whole echo chamber thing to me is just as stupid as saying snowflakes. People hang out with other people who are somewhat on the same wavelength. Shocker. The MAGA crowd literally created their own websites and news sources out of nothing so the whole accusing one side of being in an echo chamber is incredibly disingenuous. How do you think I'd fare hanging out in truth social or even the trump aligned subs on Reddit? Exactly. You lot don't feel this thread was/is a bit of an echo chamber? In hindsight?
AOC28!!!
I was replying to a poster saying Harris is more civilised than Trump. This confirmed to be stopping under Trump then?
0 chance of that happening. It will be Newsom or Shapiro, and depending on the economy then, maybe they will have a shot.AOC28!!!
That poster did not have an opposing view. He was trolling about Sandy Hook, and the poster who insulted them got the warning points that insulting posters warrants. Just for clarity.Fair enough, just as I have been flicking through anyone who is for the other view seems to get aggressive response, or even in one case gets called a piece of shit and to go feck themselves.
