Oh god. Them Georgia exit polls

Also look how low foreign policy matters (not at all)

Trump 1/3 on for Georgia. Not looking good at all. Shocking.

ignore these completely. There's a massive facility just outside of Vegas, which basically functions like the entity from the recent mission impossible movie, and it proved beyond all doubt that bookmakers always make more money when people bet the favourite and lose, as opposed to betting the underdog and win. They know what they are doing, Harris has this in the bag.

Betfair has Trump at 7/10 and no Vegas facility is manipulating that with the sheer depth of liquidity. Not saying Trump will win but to say people are being manipulated to bet on the favourite doesn’t make any sense as the money it would take to move the market is astronomical.

They would be betting themselves on Trump to move the market more favourable to him and losing their own money to manipulate punters to hop on the Trump bet moving the price lower which doesn’t give them the exit unless they know the result of the election (which they don’t)

TRIP podcast announced some sourced exit poll, didn’t catch it all but it wasn’t good for Harris.

Again, I catch flac because no one (understandably) wants to hear it, but I think Trump will win.

The caveat though is that I gave him GA at a far higher likelihood than 1/3 in my own calculus. That's not how he wins, if he does win. It's the three northern states. And that pathway is almost certain now if NC repeats the GA exit polls. I.e., the road to the presidency is through those three states.

One thing: early days but Trump is outperforming his KY run in 2016 and 2020 by about 4%-5%. This could narrow. If not, it makes things interesting in other states.

Given how bad Trump is, what would it say about the Democrats over the past 4 years if he actually wins?

I am gonna open a bottle of 18-year Bowmore and hopefully celebrate the return of El Presidente.
The return to office of a serial sexual offender and fascist traitor, is that what you are celebrating?

I think it says a lot more about America and just how broken their political system is

Relax guys. Trump was favorite on betting websites against Biden until about 10 pm EST. Then magic started happening. The dead rose and red mirage was replaced by the blue sky.

8-3 to Trump, Harris with it all to do to turn this game around.

Hmmm, Amy is as confident too. Not quite sure where that confidence is coming from at the moment as from what I'm seeing, it's looking exactly as the polls have been saying... An absolute coin toss.

I hope you are right! I am getting worried now

Economy. People are surprised here - not all tbf - but think about the last four years.

Covid, Russia, Inflation, cost of living, etc. The economy was clearly better four years ago if only because of the cost of living crisis. Now, this isn't to say Biden/Harris are to blame but that is typically what we do in elections: blame the incumbent if our lives are worse off (economically) than they were before we elected them. This is why Harris has tried to stay completely away from Biden. The question is whether it works in the northern states.
