Pledging loyalty to flag and constitution is nothing wrong. Although probably the frequency is too much in america. We're all taught to love our country, we've taught the principles of our founding father and that sets the tone for our conduct in daily lives.

Our pancasila means:
We believe in one almighty god, in many forms of religions
We believe in humanity
Unity
Democracy
Social justice

This drummed up cores allows us to be resistant towards extremist ideology. The liberals thought this is waste of time sought to lessen it, We're seing extreme radicals starting to poison the youth because they dont have a doctrine of their own.

It's good that you love your country. Trump and co don't actually love their country and constitution, they're using it as a prop. The prop is not wrong, they are.

Took a trip through the "thumb" area of MI and it was staggering to see the amount of Trump signs and large flags. It is a known republican stronghold to be fair but this is different. It was almost like someone just went by every house and dumped a bunch of signs and flags for people to use. I have never seen that much adoration being displayed for a president. Some Biden ones mixed in too but it wasn't even close. Either people really are that infatuated with the man or someone is literally pumping tons of money in distributing the merchandise. I guess it could be both. If someone likes Trump and I put aside my feelings about the man.. I still don't get it. Why would you put up all those flags and signs in front of your house? It's cheesy and tacky as hell. *shrugs*

Oh yeah - also came across a road paver machine or whatever the feck it's called. It had a freaking huge Trump 2020 flag on it. Mind you these were either county or state contracted laborers. I'm guessing that probably violates some (ethics) rules but I guess it's in line with the rule and law breaking "law&order" President. I agree with Beach that I'm less optimistic, especially after seeing what I saw this time.

@oneniltothearsenal @Rado_N what is your opinions is the best newspaper out there in US? Something that is relatively less unbiased and in most occasions a good and comprehensive source of information? May not be perfect, but the best out there.
This is really not a good question to ask because any single news organization, at one point or another, will be completely biased and push government agenda, especially when it comes to foreign policy and manufacturing consent for war. They're all owned by billionaires, so already, there is huge bias against anything that's actually "left", pro working class solidarity, and people's struggle. Another thing that irks me is when people try to find this supposed "middle ground" news source when, in reality, there really is no true middle ground, let alone people who can really identify anything close to it. The "middle ground" perspective is really just one between the Democratic party and the Republican party, which are both pro capitalist, pro US imperialism, pro western hegemony, and are on the "right" of the political spectrum. Headlines are often sensationalized to create the narrative before the reader gets to read the article, assuming they even read it in the first place. Any country the US doesn't like, or a system in a country the US doesn't like, is already framed poorly — Vietnam during COVID being an example. And the average reader doesn't engage in a dialectical approach to what they read, let alone consider the historical context surrounding any one topic or event. Like we seriously had millions of people believe in this evil Russian plot where they attack our "democracy" by posting memes on social media, and hardly mention how shit Hillary was nor mention how we attack democracies by assassinating or bombing other countries.

That all being said, if I had to give you one source that isn't already mentioned, try US News and World Report.

No, Trump and his cronies really do love the US because this country allowed for them to exploit their way into being rich and powerful, and remain that way despite all that's happened. What they don't love is the regular people.

USA really are fecked. The election is being rigged and the democrats are just watching it all unfold. 4 more years of Trump and now he knows he is well above the law and even the constituton. This will be catastrophic for the USA and the entire world.

WSJ is ‘neutral?’ I mean, there’s an argument that their news division is somewhat balanced, but their editorial page is almost virulently conservative.

I was referring to their news division as was asked in the OP, consistently ranks as amongst the most balanced.

They do enforce one of the strictest separations between the news division and the editorial/opinion board.

So feck atheists right?

So feck atheists right?
I was wondering about exactly that.

Also, I personally see plenty wrong with pledging loyalty to flag and constitution. Especially to any flag, but that constitution is also centuries old; I wouldn't want to tie myself to anything like that. What's the point?

What did he answer?

He basically said it like it is - The Russians set up their own false flags among BLM people 4 years ago to divide people and they're using social media, regular media, etc to use the same tactics as before, a part of which involves people on the political fringes casting doubt that its even happening.

Russia knelt on George Floyd's neck and shot Breonna Taylor too. I think the recent Yankee losing streak was also commissioned in Moscow.

Funny how when China is accused of interfering with US affairs or espionage it is instantly believable, but when it's the Russians then its conspiracy city.

They're exploiting the racial tensions with more social media campaigns. Not sure about whether that would help the Yankees or not.

That's part of the entire strategy - a subset of fomenting division is that people within the country reject that its actually happening, as you'll see from time to time in these threads.

Of course both China and Russia interfere, the same way the US interferes basically everywhere on earth. The idea though that Russia is responsible for the violence in Wisconsin and Oregon is ridiculous.

This is the dirty tricks Biden will be up against.

No, Joe Biden did not fall asleep during a live TV interview

Biden needs to step forward with a strong, positive, unifying message, show leadership, squash rumours of his mental demise and expose Trump in the debates. Otherwise prepare for '4 more years'.
