@Beachryan i think you may need to get some help. Because your entire post is basically a quick guide on how to gaslight survivors. Refusing to believe them and cast several aspersions at the same time.
Okay, let's do this. Please articulate how a critical-thinking human being is supposed to respond to this exact scenario. Is it:
a. Believe her because she said so, Biden should step down now.
b. Read all you can on the situation - from numerous articles including an interview with the Salon journalist who spoke extensively with her and tried to fact-check her story, absorb these and take a position based upon these learnings.

I tried b. If you honestly believe that's 'gaslighting a survivor' then please articulate why. I take these things seriously.

tbf it's kinda like the OJ situation where everyone knows he did it, but joe's just white enough that he can still be president for some bizarre reason
Is it? Care to articulate precisely what he did, as everyone knows?

You realize with whom you are talking, right?

I don't, am I wasting my time?
He's like a religious fundamentalist. In fact, an atheist would be more in luck having an okay conversation with a religious fundamentalist then it is possible here to have a conservation with him, Eboue and Red Dreams.

Not saying those things aren't inappropriate these days but not long ago those things weren't. I ve come across many men (and women!) of that age range who are very touchy feely like that. Does it make me uncomfortable? Yes. Do I think there is malicious intent? Absolutely not. Do I understand why some folks think there might be? Sure. Id highly suggest watching more docs and even shows set in the times these people grew up in in the United States. It's a different era that explains - but doesn't justify it today. Question is did he change enough? Trump clearly did not and even brags about it. There are no stories of prostitution, going into changing rooms of teenage models, numerous rape/assault allegations, bribery, repeated sexist and discriminatory comments against genders and people otherwise different than himself for Biden like there are for Trump. Nothing to the same degree.

I'm going to disagree with Geralt of Rivia here - not all evil is the same evil.
I don't know, I find it hard to defend such acts especially when you can clearly see the discomfort in women and children who get touched and in some cases even try to resist him. If it was a one off then I'll let it slide by if I'm feeling extremely generous, but knowing that it's not a one off and knowing how sleazy politicians are in general I can't help but be pessimistic. You see it as a "touchy feely" I see it as lack of self-control at best.

You're not wrong about Trump, but the question is when debate time comes and if this ever becomes a topic, does Biden even have the mental capacity to string few coherent sentences together let alone think on his feet and counter his arguments and accusations like you are able to in your post... I'd be way too hopeful for that.

I don't like the idea of voting for a substandard candidate whose only real positive lies with "not Trump," but perhaps I am so lax because I've always lived in states where the presidential outcome is already decided. Every time Biden makes a verbal gaffe (more often than not these days), I can only sigh and think to myself if this clearly broken man is the best DNC can put out to defeat Trump.

And as much as I'd like to see Trump lose in 2020, this is not the guy that I'd be confident in beating him nor do I really fancy him as an effective POTUS.

Who would be the candidate you would be confident on defeating Trump?

Funny that she works for Rolling Stone, whose 'journalism' on the UVA frat parties did more damage to giving women the benefit of the doubt that any other single piece in the past few years.

Trump is gonna wipe the floor with Biden when it comes to debate time. And I don't mean cos he's a better debater.

It will come down to tactics at the debate. Trump likes getting into the mud so he can attack his opponents during debates. If Biden keeps things civil and focused on policy, he will do relatively well since Trump tends to look out of his depth when it comes to specifics.

Yeah though I will say I am worried about his cognitive state at this point - one need only look at how he blasted Palin off the stage when faced with a loud mouth ignoramus. He was very effective then.. But also a lot sharper than now.

Yeah I think the key for him is to keep it positive. If he winds up attacking Trump then things will devolve into a place where Trump is very comfortable. Everyone already knows Trump's negatives so no need for Biden to talk about anything other than his own policies.

Yeah, thats the evidence. Theres never going to be any smoking gun. Thats not how these things work. But telling multiple people at the time and being retaliated against is extremely compelling.

I did't want Biden to become the candidate any more than any other person able to spot the difference between socialism and communism... And Biden's mental health, status quo policies and hair sniffing are more than enough to think that he is not what USA needs, or what is going to beat Trump...

Still, the allegations or the story in itself is a little fishy. So let's not put all our fish in one bucket here?

I wanted Warren to be the candidate, but shes kind of old for a VP with Biden.

How’s that gonna work? Warren herself accuse Biden of inappropriately touching women and called for him to drop out.

Harris also attacked Biden during the debates. They would both walk back their remarks in a heartbeat if it meant a VP role.

Weird, it's almost like she had something to say about Joe yesterday. Guess I must have misinterpreted it.

When did Warren 'herself accuse Biden of inappropriately touching women'?
