I'm all for Single payer.

The last point is debatable.
The reason costs are high is because of Insurance companies and Drug expenses.
Not because of Doctors and providers.

Still much better than the others except for Bernie's which is straightforward.
Wow. Praise for Warren. Is this September 2019 again?

You're sounding like a centrist with that statement, making reasons how it cannot be done. That seems only a small part of the plan to account for the money.

Er, no. I dont have a problem with shooting for major changes. I do have a problem with it from the people who've spent the last 6 months calling Bernie unrealistic.

I'm pretty sure Warren's blog post mentions what you are saying. The point you are quoting means because of implementing M4A, providers and doctor might feel threatened thus they will be compensated 110%. I don't think it mentions anything about the cost because of the doctors.

Yeah, I agree with you there. Bernie's plan is more straightforward than Warren's but given the population voting in the general election, the "increasing taxes" might sound riskier.

It doesn’t take a genius to see doctors, especially the one operating their own clinics or in private hospitals, benefit immensely from your current broken system.

It’s not only evil Big Pharma, there are a whole host of interests with a piece of the pie, that’s why even a regressive healthcare legislation like the ACA was fought against tooth and nails. Hell, you have unions at the moment fighting against M4A because they have their own healthcare included in negotiations.

Came here to post this. Wonder where his votes will go?

Considering it would have absolutely zero impact on the polls if they all went to a single candidate, I guess we will never know

Why the Bernie Movement Must Crush Beto O’Rourke
By Jonathan Chait@jonathanchait
The rise of Beto O’Rourke poses an obvious threat. The Texas congressman has replicated aspects of Sanders’s appeal — his positivity and refusal to accept PAC money — while exceeding it in some ways. Sanders is charismatic in an unconventional way, the slovenly and cranky but somewhat lovable old uncle, while O’Rourke projects a classic handsome, toothy, Kennedy-esque charm that reliably makes Democrats swoon. Hard-core loyalists find the contrast irksome. “Reading Karl Marx is cool,” said Nomiki Konst, a Sanders loyalist and candidate for New York City public advocate, to NBC. “Doing a livestream while you’re doing your laundry is a gimmick.” The comment sums up the left’s well-grounded fear that Sanders’s hard-core ideological appeal can be easily disarmed with personal charisma.

And while O’Rourke has yet to decide on a presidential campaign, and would have to overcome an enormous field if he does, the Sandernistas are hardly paranoid to discern the kind of groundswell that could quickly propel O’Rourke to the front of the pack. Former Obama strategist and current Pod Save America host Dan Pfeiffer wrote a piece urging O’Rourke to run (without endorsing him). O’Rourke reportedly met with Obama, who favored him with public praise. “What I liked most about his race was that it didn’t feel constantly poll-tested,” Obama said. “It felt as if he based his statements and his positions on what he believed.”

Beto's last 5 tweets have 58k, 2.5k, 26k, 13k, 6k - for an average of 20k with only 1M followers. (the 5 tweets before that are actually much larger and would average higher than 20k)

Beyond that, when was the last tweet that went viral by Bernie? In 2016 it felt like every other day he was taking twitter & facebook by storm, it's just not the case anymore.

this would actually suggest three things;
1 - Bernie's followers don't engage with what he tweets as often as they used to
2 - Bernie is actually more likely to have fake followers as well
3 - Both can be true at the same time

Since Warren is now leading in Iowa...I'm guessing Biden's consistent national lead is largely down to him leading in the south and and southwest.

So... no Hulk Hogan fans in I guess. That all-American 80s beefcake/poetry Venn intersection is not the gag goldmine I hoped it was. Ho-hum.

Better sit on that Rimbaud: First Blood routine while I'm at it.

:lol:I am a dick.
