2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

Best case scenario for Trump would be to acknowledge his accusers and make an apology similar to what Arnold Schwarzenegger did in 2004 when he was seeking reelection and a group of women said he made sexual advances on them over the years - he said something like I'm sorry about my past behavior and I'm sorry if I offended anyone over the years. After that he stopped talking about it and the public more or less accepted that as a sufficient acknowledgement and apology, and he wound up winning re-election. Trump needs to make a one time apology and move on, then only talk about political issues.

That obviously won't happen since he is a narcissist who rarely apologizes because he views that as an act of weakness. He instead doubles down on his accusers by attempting to discredit them. The media then uses his own words to keep the story alive for several news cycles, which in turn both obscures his own political message and lowers his poll numbers (and strengthens Hillary's).

In short, there's nothing Trump can do to stop the death spiral with 3 weeks remaining.

It's a fantastically vicious circle for him.

I hope by the end of this all no one wants to be affiliated with him in any way, or spend money on anything Trump related.

Gents I posted this a while ago but let's seriously make this a 'thing'

Taking a Donald

A Donald Trump

Well when I grew up here in England Trumping meant farting. If someone had just Trumped it meant that had just farted/passed wind.

It is clear from this site that the verb to trump has been used extensively across Britain to refer to the breaking of wind. It is especially the case in the North, in Wales and certainly in Norfolk, when I was a child in the 1950s.

This use is confirmed by the OED. However though it is therein described as vulgar my own experience is that it was a term encouraged by parents as a means of avoiding the far less socially salubrious fart.

However its use appears to be unknown in the United States, which seems a pity!

I just watched this. It's like Nuremberg. People not knowing what they were following but hoping that what was promised was better than the status quo.

Its classic herd behavior. People mindlessly following the rants of one person because they want to belong to something.

What's the worst that would happen to me if i pissed on Trump Tower? Would I get arrested? Could I put it down to being an obnoxious tourist?

Anyone know much about this James O'Keefe?

Says explosive stuff including videos are coming out next week.

Those people are clueless.
The poll at the end... :( Reagan tied with Lincoln and 22 points above Teddy.

Speaking of Reagan, loved the bit where the guy claimed Trump "has a bit of Reagan in him" then can't describe one single thing about Reagan.

Around 40% of the American electorate intend to vote for a candidate who has claimed to sexually assault people.

I keep wondering how we're going to explain this to the next generation.

Project Veritas (found via Google). Trump supporter, uses hidden cams and mikes - goes around trying to prove the elections are rigged.

Either this twitter post makes him seem like a drama queen or he is going to produce something huge.

If you watch the video @Raoul just posted you can see that you wont need to explain it to them as many of them take their kids to the rally. I've said it ad nauseam that I think there should be age restrictions on these events and they are 100% definitely not for children. I think it's unbelievable, all of it really, not only Trump, but the fact people take their kids, I mean WTF? really? It's sheer insanity it really is. Nearly everyone must have seen the videos now, so even if you don't believe the women that are coming out saying what Trump said he did when talking to Billy Bush, but the interviews with the Teen USA contestants who said Trump often just walked in while they were getting changed, something HE admitted to doing also. On top of all that the video where he says about the 10 year old that he would be dating her in 10 years time, I mean come on, seriously, and you would take your kids to listen to him speak? Desperation, ignorance and stupidity are a dangerous mix.

The evidence and proof that trump didn't assault these women are emails apparently. Something about admiration after the alleged assault.

This is from the president of liberty university. He's convinced trump is innocent. His rationale is trump has changed after having kids and grandkids and being on the campaign trail.... Most of which is post alleged assaults, I believe. They are all nutters.

He is such a cnut.

In the Cincinatti Trump rally they had the county sherriff on before Trump came on and he sounded like a complete loon, leading chants to lock Clinton up and suggesting the Democrats are corrupt amongst other such nonsense. He didn't sem the type to just calm down once the election is over if Trump doesn't win.

It has to be that, more than anything, and I think the blame for such desperation, and as such its consequences, should be aimed at both the Democrats and the Republicans who have ignored the plight of vast amounts of their country.

feck people over long enough and they'll try anything. See Brexit.

I don't think it'll ever get that bad, but aspects of it do draw comparisons to Nazi Germany in the late 20s and early 30s. A discontent population who feel that their voices haven't been listened to turn to an extreme populist with a terrible haircut with the aim of getting back at an establishment they feel has abandoned them. That same populist surrounds himself with utter lunatics.

Even the GOP's tolerance of him until it all got too much has echoes of the figures who wanted to use Hitler to their own advantage but paid the price.

Of course, I'm fully aware that it isn't that bad, or anywhere near that bad; the US isn't reeling from a war defeat which crippled them, and Trump is more of a bumbling bluffer who'd get feck all done in comparison to Hitler, whose public speaking ability is regularly cited as being great.

It is worrying, though...especially the media complaints and the whole rigged election vibe they're giving across. Most of them will pipe down in the aftermath but for now, this is a group who quite literally refuse to believe their candidate will lose.
