I reckon a moderate with a relatively clean profile like Romney or Paul Ryan would have given her a scare. Not only is she vehemently hated by the GOP voter base, but genuine progressives dislike her too. Many of them are reluctantly voting for her because the alternative is unthinkable.

Wasn't it just leaked in one of the emails that her team thought she was such a flawed candidate that "even a clown like Ted Cruz" could beat her?

They wanted Trump and were pushing for him.

Not much mud needed with him. He didn't energize the crazies. The man had a car elevator. That takes away the wall Street talk. Can't see someone like him bringing up bill.

This isn't true. She's not popular. She leads because the Republicans have nominated a man who knows nothing about politics and has a quite astonishing history of sexual offence allegations.

I think you underestimate how unpopular Clinton is. In fact back in August both her and Trump's unpopularity ratings were at a record high, the two most unpopular candidates since some of the polls began. Also, as we saw in the last debate, her own personal performance hasn't been all that strong. Also, in a normal year there would not have been the same standard of material to use against her opponent, whereas the criticism against her would likely have been given more attention. Plus, as I just said, she would probably have been the most unpopular candidate in decades in a normal year too.

Definitely. Any somewhat normal GOP candidate would be running her very close under normal conditions. Trump is the best gift the Dems have ever been given.

Gilberthorpe is, by all accounts, a serial fableist.

In 1987, for example, he told newspapers in England that he was engaged to fashion designer in California named Miss Leah Bergdorf-Hunt. “Both our families are delighted,” he told The Gloucester Express. It was later revealed that he was not engaged. Also there was no Miss Bergdorf-Hunt. He invented the whole thing.

He later won a substantial libel judgment from British newspapers that reported he had AIDS. But it eventually came out that Gilberthorpe himself was the source for the story. The newspapers appealed and Gilberthorpe ended up settling after the newspapers agreed to offset a small portion of his legal fees. The incident left him “very much out of pocket and with egg all over his face.”

It's the LAT/USC/Daybreak/Dornsife poll :lol:

He literally choose the one poll most favourable to Drumpf, with a known dodgy methodology (3000 people panel interviewed over and again) and present fractions of it as 'internal polling analysis'. :lol:
 
It's also the only poll that has had Trump ahead consistently. Shows the level of incompetence and delusion in Trump HQ that their campaign strategy is founded upon that data.
