He never said that.
If you actually look at the clip though you'll see it's nothing to do with race. There a black guy filming with his phone who stomps his feet he finds it so funny.
I'm having a hard time deciphering that sentence. Could you clarify it for me please. You posted the initial clip comparing the reactions of two people. I'm assuming your point was connected to race. My contention is this particular instance had nothing to do with race at all. It was just a bunch of people laughing at a crazy guy saying inappropriate outrageous shit. I used the word clip twice referring to two seperate clips. One of King's actual speech and one i said i saw from CNN This is the clip i'm talking about.

That's the same clip twice, same angle. I want the one where her reaction is caused by what you say (someone stomping feet) and not by what King said. I don't see her in the shot of your clips and I don't see anyone stomping there feet. Clear enough?

The man stomping is at 13:24. You have misrepresented what i said twice now even with prateik correcting you. Read what i wrote again. Better yet please explain what point you think the short clip you posted makes.

Pretty simple. She cringed at what Don King says, not at someone stomping far on the other side of the stage to her. She's looking right at King, she cringes when she hears what he says, while the white guy beside her slaps his knee. The point made in the tweet seems pretty obvious to me.

There's been more than enough form from the Trump side to say "yet another media stitch-up". This is a daily occurence on the Trump campaign and nothing needs to be made up. But of course, there was no racism before Obama, was there?

A little light reading for you, @Desert Eagle. Probably all the media trumping stuff up though, rather than words from his own mouth, right?

If you wanna build strawmen to then break them down, feel free but realise that by not addressing what i'm saying you're essentially putting your finger in your ears, saying trump is racist, trump is racist. I've read the article you linked to, The atlantic is one of the last few bastions of journalism imo. Trump can be a racist and be falsely accused of racism. I understand how that's a mentally tricky thing to grasp but your understanding of the issues will improve once you accept that fact. If it's so obvious why don't you make the point in your own words?

Wow, this is really going nowhere. You're accusing me of not addressing what you've said, yet you then don't address what I've said. How ironic. And still chucking in the passive aggressive insults. I'm going to leave it at that.

I agree this is going no where. Hopefully other posters can read the exchange and form their own conclusions.

Bloody hell. He never said the lady's reaction was at someone stomping. He said that a black man found it funny too and it wasnt just white assholes laughing while black people found it offensive.

I wont get into the whole argument about weather or not it is offensive. I dont care.
Just pointing out that you misunderstood what he was saying.

The two things came one after the other in his post. How I read it is he was saying her reaction had nothing to do with what was said. Read it however you like.

A reminder that Gary Johnson is weird.

This guy having 10% of the national vote is just as weird as Trump having 45%

10% just voting for anyone other than a Dem or Repub not caring what he actually stands for.

I am reminded of Tug McGraw's (former MLBer for the Mets and Phillies) statement about handling pressure and the great ice ball theory on handling the pressure of pitching in important situations. Basically the sun will expand, char the earth to a cinder, then the sun will contract leaving the earth a big icy burned out cinder floating in space and nobody will be around to give a shit whether he won or lost a game of baseball anyways. Of course he probably was not the first to come up with this comment.

Probably. I think I first read about the sun thing in Cosmos. A last perfect day then a slow decline into the end of the world. Sagan made our extinction so elegant.

Yeah. Instead of everybody dying of heat stroke when the air conditioning breaks down.

I suppose the remnants of humanity will retreat far underground. We'll become a subterranean species. Our former existence on the boiling, baking surface eventually only remembered in legends of the dawn.

Many f them ex-Berners. I have no hope for humanity if they go from him to this unadulterated crazy.
Sorry if I'm wrong but I think it was you that posted a great article by Jacobin magazine on Johnson past as a governor. The guy is dangerously stupid.

Just in....seems several polls in the past 2-3 days have her up between 4-6, which if true is massive.

Pathetic from Cruz. How desperate do you have to be to endorse a man who tried to embarrass you time and time again?

Yes, I agree. It's purely "what can hurt the person who hurt Bernie" for some of them, so a (thankfully small) number have gone to Trump. Then you have the "clean and honest" stuff which could send them to Johnson or Stein. Only true believers would pick Stein, and that number is really small too, which is sad.

Stein's not exactly like-for-like Bernie either, given her anti-vax and homeopathy flirtations.
