2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

So are these terrorist attacks the election game-changer that we all expected them to be? Perfect timing, just before the debates, and perfect location of course. I would guess that if the suspects are US-born she might be able to ride it out, if not he's got a landslide.
Nah he won't get a landslide. It won't change staunch democrats to being Trump supporters. It could swing some undecideds and that will help him.

NY officials have already said that it is not linked to international terrorism, meaning not linked to ISIS etc

If Dems nominate a family member again, they deserve to burn and fall. Indian politics is run on dynasties and anyone with half a brain isn't a fan.

So you are denying an American citizens right to be able to run for president because a family member or spouse already was one?

I dont think dynasties are the problem because if you take the money out of presidential politics and shorten the election cycle you would get a wider pool of candidates and better qualified people instead of rich assoles from the same circles running against each other.

A candidate should be assessed on their qualifications and qualities rather than family ties. HRC is eminently qualified to be POTUS.

There are 300m people in the US, probably 150m eligible to stand. If the candidates are closely related to the incredibly tiny pool of past presidents, it's not a problem in itself (as you said) but the symptom of something broken. (In India it's the symptom of post-ideology parties run on patronage, for example)

Im not disagreeing with the notion im just saying it infringes on citizens rights and Americans are particular about that

Hahaha, this one's from 2012 (I know he's done more since but this one is extra funny)

Tied across battleground states?
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/poll-donald-trump-hillary-clinton-tied-across-battleground-states/

A few interesting points from it. Trump represents change more than strictly a vote for the man himself, Hillary represents more trustworthiness, 60% think the economy is rigged against them and Dems and Reps equally think the other candidate will damage the country beyond repair. Also, the majority think that Hillary's health incident was blown out of proportion and is more a matter of disclosure than health.

Another poll, Clinton ahead
https://morningconsult.com/2016/09/18/clinton-maintains-lead-trump-despite-health-scare/

In this one, both Dems and Reps think their parties chose poorly for their candidates :D Hillary has a 4 point lead here among likely voters.

Chris :D
Christie falsely claims Trump hadn't talked 'birther' for years
http://edition.cnn.com/2016/09/18/politics/donald-trump-birtherism-chris-christie-mike-pence/

I can't remember exactly where, but I recall watching some election thing live earlier this year, I think Chris Matthews was interviewing Trump and others, but when Trump was on he asked him about the birther issue and Trump said he didn't want to answer the question, insinuating Obama wasn't American. It was definitely this year too. He's such a lying piece of shit.

Yeah, I remember that, but that was nearly a year ago. It could possibly be it because of my head injury and how fecked my memory has been and how quickly this year has seemed because of that, but I was sure it was Chris Matthews, but saying that it could easily have been the one you linked.

Feck knows, but we all know he's just a lying piece of shit and a manipulating prick. He purposely says stuff and shit stirs and insinuates something without ever truly saying what he means, yet saying enough so everyone knows exactly what he's getting at. He thinks it's clever, it's really not, it's really sad, and very low, and also exceedingly condescending because he clearly thinks he's smarter than everyone else, when the exact opposite is obviously true. My 10 year old lad said yesterday that the next big hurricane should be called Donald because he's a natural disaster.

During the coverage of Atlanta's win over Oakland earlier, they were trailing a feature with the Libertarian Party on 60 Minutes. Just in case anyone is interested.

Cuban is very spun up on the issues. He would absolutely lacerate Drumpf over 4 hours. Actually, Trump would probably walk out after 10 minutes once he figured out he would look like an utter cretin.

Trump couldn't handle a few minutes of an ESPN 30/30 interview. The interviewer handed the check won by the USFL to Trump who looked at it, made some comments, made a passive aggressive comment directly to the interviewer, then stormed off. Trump was one of the major reasons the USFL ultimately failed.

Now imagine this clown dealing with diplomatic issues, nuclear issues, war issues...

I lived the USFL experience in the 80s - was a Michigan Panthers fan at the time. Lots of fun. Completely forgot Drumpf owned the NJ Generals.

Just 9 days until the debates. That should pretty much consolidate who is going to go into the final stretch with a slight lead.

One of these scenarios should play out imo.

1. Drumpf rolls in with loads of zingers and gets graded by a different standard that she does. He winds up being perceived as more entertaining and thus is viewed as holding his ground or even winning.

2. Hillary absolutely smokes him with endless specifics he can't keep up with, making him look like a complete lightweight.

3. It gets completely ugly where Drumpf and Hillary both pull out their respective nuclear options with talk of Bill Clinton's affairs, rape allegations, Trump U, Pam Bondi bribe, Clinton email scandal, Alt-Right etc.

4. Its a relatively drab, uneventful affair where both are scared to go negative, resulting in an unexpectedly uneventful debate.

5. Drumpf doesn't show up and Hillary either doesn't debate or invites Johnson instead. Alternatively, Hillary debates an empty chair with wig in it.

Fixed the last bullet.

Around the 11:00 mark she mentions how she couldn't support some that lies constantly and Bill calls her out. Some good give and take throughout.

The big problem with KellyAnne is her personal relationships with most journalists and tv celebrities (like Maher). I feel like she has been given a free pass from many of them because they know her, often at the expense of allowing her to get away with covering up Drumpf's BS.

Yeah, it's a big racket. They know she's a big name in the GOP circle and will work in other campaigns in the future so don't want to burn too many, if any, bridges.

That said, CNN hired Corey fecking Lewandowski the day after he was fired, so it mightn't be just a KellyAnne thing.

all it takes is one attack and crooked hillary will go down the shitter along with them dems

In an alternate universe, there is a tinfoil hat wearing version of me who thinks that the Republicans planted those bombs over the weekend... :D
I have been saying for a long time that some (supposed) ISIS types who had recently flown into the country running round a school and gunning everybody down before escaping over the Mexican boarder would be perfect for trump and his extreme vetting, arming teachers and upholding the second amendment and of course building a big wall

And yes I do personally believe he is capable of paying somebody to do it (amd probably capable of paying somebody else to kill them the second they enter mexico to ensure the story never gets out)

The man frightens me because no matter how contemptible a Machiavellian scheme my mind can concoct I find myself thinking but would the Don actually do that - and my answer thus far is always yes he would.
